you get 3 weeks to assemble your team, find who is best at what position, then get them to learn plays, get them in shape, all before first game. so we tried him as the center and he would not snap the ball, we tried him at punter but he was not fast enough to punt before getting tackled, finally we tried him on kickoff/return.
after figuring who goes where, we teach the offensive line how to block and who to block every different play. the defense we teach how to hold onto the offensive lineman and create a blocked hole to run through. we go over everything.
the aunt told us the parents were in denial.
me addressing their denial is not getting us anywhere.
a lawsuit threat, however, got us where he remained safe and my consciousness was at ease.
