Looking back which generation was more disappointing

    The 7th or 8th?

The 7th seems so much more disappointing.
After the gloriousness that was the 6th the 7th made me lose interest in gaming.
The thing there is there were a few gems that are my favorite games of all time, with the 8th gen there hasn't been a single game I felt was interesting or amazing, but for some reason it feels better than the 7th.
Overall though the 8th was basically a filler generation to keep people complacent while developers waited on 9th gen consoles to be released.

It's hard for me to decide which generation I like less.

Op is the platonic ideal of the mindless consumer that big corporations love

Says the idiot with a pony avatar.
I'm not even a consumer, I hardly ever buy anything.
I'm extremely passionate about video games and have been playing them since I was 5.
Gaming is my favorite thing in life.

Could it also be that you just grew out of it?

No because I still feel as excited about 6th generation games and whenever something truly interesting comes out.
Gaming has gotten really stale and formulaic since the 7th.

where you copied/pasted that pic, does it tell you who this is?
i have seen a similar photo, from a wife, of someone who has recently been diagnosed as psychotic/narcissist, and from their baby pictures to adulthood, this pic is one that is similar in her collection.

it's odd, cause from just a baby until this person learned to hide it better, his expressions in every picture screams psycho!!

    i thought he was columbine.

but it cracks me up that a mother/father has a child that looks like this, you know his activities don't match other boys his age, his interests are different, even how he looks indicates major problems. and yet, the parents ignore and look what happened.

i coached pop warner football for a phoenix area team. it was the first time i ever met someone odd. i couldn't figure out where to put him cause by law every player must play 3 snaps. he would just look off into the sky and stare for half hour at a time. his parents were awesome people wanting the team over for chili supper and barbeques. but they clearly were in denial over their son.

finally i thought, if we use him on kickoff/return he might not get hurt. so we tried and put him on the return team. damnit if that ball did not go right to him. he picks it up, takes a few steps, then stops and stares. the other kids charging at him to blast his ass and im blowing my whistle running on the field to stop action.

finally his aunt came to me in private and told us he was aspy.

i went to pop warner org and said, im looking at a damn lawsuit by playing this kid.

finally we settled for him being manager and eventually, yet sadly, he and his parents drifted away and out of sight.

but DAMN, why would parents do that to that poor kid.
i wanted to kick his dad's ass all over that field.
i was so pissed off i was fucking red!!

Maybe approaching them and asking if there was underlying issues without offending. It must have been hard though but at least you tried.
