But I wouldn't chose even a non domestic dog to eat even if it was farm bred to be food. Native Americans ate wild dogs when things got bad. There considered a food of punishment by the angry gods. Because carnivores generally aren't meant to be eaten? Maybe fish eating fish. but how many animals do we normally eat in the West that eat other Animals? -

It seems wrong to eat dogs are they are allies with us. Why would you eat a friend? Indians ate dog, but didn't like it. I've never eaten a dog before. But I would to survive. And it would be painful to eat my own pet yet he's what's for dinner if the time ever came to it.

how are they allied to us/you ?
cows and horses, goats and even cocks are "allied" to us if we keep them as pets.
and especially pigs, they're much smarter than dogs and if you keep them as pets you'll learn that each ine of them have individuality and individual personality.
pigs are more human like than dogs, but white people (that have the same color as pigs) have no qualms turning their piggy friends into hamburgers.
