if you weren't, it means, YOU AREN'T ACTUALLY BAPTIZED YET by God's way!!

I am an ancient writings scholar with over 55 years of painstaking and meticulous research under my belt. And as such, I can confidently state that words in the bible do not necessarily mean what we think they mean today. Back then, words had different applications of meanings for the same word, not just one. That's why context is imperative. Without the end-to-end context, you end up babbling nonsense and mistranslated beliefs, actually working against God, instead of with.

For example, the word "love" in ancient times did not mean only what we think it means today. The concept of love had several applications:

    Storge – empathy bond.
    Philia – friend bond.
    Eros – romantic love.
    Agape – unconditional "God" love.

When Jesus said he and God were "one", what he meant was they are united in purpose, united in agenda, united in goals and united in purpose. It didn't mean they are the same person. You need to look up the ROOT WORDS IN THE CONTEXT OF THAT AGE AND IN THE CONTEXT OF THAT PARTICULAR SITUATION. You have to study the root word "one", in context to the language used, and in context to the circumstances of the conversation. It's not cut and dry, when you are dealing with ancient languages. Many actual meanings get lost in the translation, by the very process of the translation itself. No, Jesus and God were not the same person, as an in-depth and broad and intensive study of the materials prove.

But you're not reading the bible in the Aramaic language, you are referencing English words, therefore, you've made no real point.

they were not like you always looking for a way to cheat!!

    oh it does indeed matter.

just like you believe Elohim means plural
    ^
that's what you english idiots decided to translate it to.

but what does the Hebrew Language claim?

Elohim, when meaning the God of Israel, is grammatically singular, and is commonly translated as "God"
    ^
    where is this example at?

    Exodus3:
this is LORD Speaking and the LORD is ESHU

6 And He said, "I am the ELOHIM of your father, the ELOHIM of Abraham, the ELOHIM of Isaac, and the ELOHIM of Jacob." And Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look toward ELOHIM.

    2 things:

and HE SAID He is, which means singular
so a SINGULAR GOD then tells Moses He is ELOHIM
and Moses hides His face from the SINGULAR ELOHIM

    what about new testament?

    Mark 12:

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

even the Hebrew Scribes who know the Bible better than anyone reveals they only believe in a single person God, not the unholy trinity like you do, FAGGOT!!
  9. -SpectraL coward [the spuriously bluish-lilac bushman]
There's no trinity either. It's just God and his son. Two different entities, not one. Nothing of what you've posted thus far disproves that fact.

    you are 4 square?

talk about a complete brainwash and new age bullshit!!

you are no different than a devil worshipper
  11. -SpectraL coward [the spuriously bluish-lilac bushman]
There are dozens upon dozens of references in the bible where Jesus specifically states God is his father, and yet you discount every one, in your great haste to get your own personal brainwash talking points out there.
  12. iam_asiam68 African Astronaut
yeah, but you are twisting the meaning.
jesus is what you call the EXAMPLE
we are to be immitating what He did
we are to call God our Father and pray to God

you have taken scripture and twisted it.

that's what new age demon theology teaches.

    you are a demon worshipper!!
  13. iam_asiam68 African Astronaut
