it may not be that hard for certain people to convince Trump to intervene directly in Mexico. Offensives have failed against China, NK, Iran, Venezuela and others I can't recall at the moment. I doubt it'd be difficult to convince him that 'smashing the cartels' would be an easy path to a legacy and re-election, though I don't see how it'd benefit them.

    1. Mormon snitches or makes it seem like they're going to
    2. Cartel decides to kill the mormom
    3. Go to mormon house and see a ton of other people around because they're mormoms
    4. Realize they have to kill everyone
    5. Slaughter ruthlessly

This is actually a good opportunity for him to divert from Ukraine denying to taking on a new initiative to go after the kid killing boogeymen he already has a hate boner for, plus this makes him look less bad for doing border stuff when that's the big MSM no-no thing of the year.

Unrelated: I was also going to make a thread about whether the U.S. should eventually invade Mexico in the interest of national security, or any other interest. I think it's a waste of time, money and PR at the moment, but the better armed and funded the cartels get the more unavoidable the isssue will get. Cut the head off before it grows...?

Also, there's the issue though of whether getting rid of the cartels is actually better for Mexico or not. As far as violence? Sure. Economic/political stability? Not so sure..

    1. Crushing the cartels will not actually be easy unless the US is comfortable with using standoff weapons to destroy entire towns and regions. They're guerillas that are deeply intertwined with local communities.

    2. The government there is far too weak. Even if the cartels were somehow totally eradicated, the Mexan government does not have the capacity to restore order after the fact and prevent a resurgence.

    C. It may be feasible for the US to eat Mexico as a state if there were minimal resistance, but integrating it directly would be an enormous undertaking for an empire in decline

Now that I think about it, I think our policy of indefinite "You stay out" is best. We could formally invade basically/fight the Mexican government's war completely for them and occupy but why? So beaners have less distractions getting over here?

I feel better about this now

That's assuming the US on the whole even wants to change the status quo in Mexico, which I'm convinced they don't

What we could do though is to send the national guard to the border, which WOULD put a big dent in the cartel's smuggling and illegal immigration, but that's costly, ties up troops, and a political no-no because borders=bad

Is biden for open borders, or is he reasonable?

Yeah the best option would probably be a big-boy wall, not 'artistic steel slats' and a more regimented and militarised border control... Considering they're meant to be deterring the activities of people like the Zetas and the FEGs

though I hope this leads to Mormon paramilitary incursions into Mexico, that would be ace

Oh good. Biden is willing to take flak for saying illegally crossinga border ought be a punishable crime.

Are these open border runners serious? Are they just saying they're for it or do you think they'd actually push paper on it?

Oh yes they're actually trying to do it. Where else are they going to get cheap unskilled labour (and a stream of dedicated Democrat voters) from?
  16. #36
But then they would also have to give them free medicaid at the best (poorest) level there is, so would that even balance out?

As I understand it it's mostly the middle- and lower classes that pay for it; the groups that benefit the most from cheap labour (and who are able to most effectively lobby government) don't contribute all that much.

that said when the country is already trillions in debt does it really matter? the goal here is to accumulate wealth in specific places, not balance the national budget

Hi, remember Reagan? Someone drops from a special forces sniper attack and the next fucker picks up from where the last guy left off. Millions of desperate guys next in the Tough Guy's line.

The Police and Government don't do shit because they know they will be murdered at some point. Over and over. Government officials and cops getting dragged out into the forest and skinned alive

Originally posted by aldra interesting situation though. My guess is that Trump will make a lot of noise but won't actually do anything that changes the status quo.

or this could be a phalse phlag that acts as a precussor to something bigger.

I was watching this 2019 Conspiracy show on Prime Video and it talks about how this Project Blue Beam will fake an Alien (space Alien) invasion and will force everyone into Marshal Law and shitloads of humans will die as a false flag.
