    Those are mussel shells.

    The "guts" maqke good bait, especially the thin parts that cling to the shell where it opens.

    Pike love weed patches, so what you do is find clear areas within the weed patches and cast in those pools. It can get messy with weeds on the hook, but that's where the big ones hover. I've pulled out countless 10-20 pounders like that. Northern pike, though, so bigger than Gar.

    nigga I wanna explore northern ontario with you. My grandparents were german immigrants who settled around the englehart area in the far north and I would like to visit there someday. Its actually still rather remote and peaceful
