Lmao @ a Canadian trying to make up US prices.
If this is an ER visit it's probably like 1.5k at least. Any sort of scans? Way more. I had 10 stitches and some local anesthetic and ended up with a 3k+ bill because no insurance. One single ER visit. -

2019-09-21 at 6:08 AM UTCNahhh, I go the ER a lot apparently and its more like, maybe 300 just
to be seen, and about 500 for an amebrlance. Ct scans are like 250-500 I think, mris i dont know but obviously very expensive.
i get to go for free because of medicaid lol. With medicaid ER services are free, and outpatient services are $3.50, which is very very stupid economically speaking, as poor people will go to the ER to save their tree fiddy, and the governemnt will foot hundreds of additional dollars and the ER gets clogged over sniffles and pink eye.
What a retarded way to set up your program, do they really not understand that it costs WAYYY more money to charge 3.50 on outpatient visits than to make them free as well so that people won't have an incentive to abuse the free ER program which keeps them artifically crowded and costs the state an arm and two legs more than if the person goes to an outpatient clinic but does not cough up a whopping 3 and a half bucks co pay? They should either both cost like a dollar or both be free, as either of those would save an enourmous amount of money. -

It probably varies by location i guess, idk. You usually go to the same ER? And no insurance? I went in bumfuck Florida last time. -
