I actually rescued a kitty off a wall in a similar way! This was back in Pakistan ~2 years ago. And she was preggo, I visited last year and saw her babies from that litter :) -

2019-08-23 at 11:44 PM UTCI adopted a kitten and took him to the vet and got him his shots and had him neutered. I fed him the cheap dry food and mixed it with some moist DG cat food. He ate it up every day. When a year was up, I tried to take him back to the vet and he knew what was up from the first time and said "HELL NO!" I couldn't get him in the carrier without getting scratched the fuck up. So I decided to just "Fuck this cat!" and if he ever developed rabies then I would just put a bullet to his head and be done with it. He grew to about 16 lbs. and was the most healthy cats I ever had. Had him for 12 years.

So anyway, I got in my car one day, and was just heading down our lane (which is like 100m of concrete) when wham.
I look in the mirror, and there is the kitten. I ran him over with one of the rear wheels of my tiny Green little Eurotrash SEAT Arosa.
Anyway, he flopped around a little, but he was ded, so I put him in the bushes at the end of the lane. Very sad for my sad for me. -
