Do you believe in reincarnation?

What if the field is covered in Astro-turf?

As we've previously discussed, energy can not be destroyed, only changed into another form. So what is consciousness? is it energy? if so it cannot be destroyed. The body sure is converted into fertilizer but what happens to the consciousness if it is indeed energy.

Perhaps it just dissipates into the mass consciousness, those that have already passed, hence the belief of some that when you die you are reunited with your loved ones...that would follow the same theory...albeit it very watered down.

Like a drop of water going into a collective ocean of souls.

Consciousness as we know it is just a complex reaction to stimuli.

thats just like saying 4g LTE is a complex reaction to stimulis.

i mean for those who have no knowledge of waves and microwave signals it would appear to them as if cellphones have consciousness in the way they are able to know and do things and "think".

but its really waves and signals behind those capabilities.

how do you know our consciousness arent the result of some signal waves that our brain demodulate and process into what we think and feel.

Sure, but that doesn't really seem any different than reacting to stimuli. Are the sounds a radio makes when it receives a radio wave through its antenna very different from the reaction your brain makes when it receives light waves through your eyeballs?

Everything I have seen leads me to have no problem with reincarnation, but not as some sort of absolute. For instance if the world was hit by an asteroid and ceased to exist, then of course there would be no more life here. It's more a real world thing than some sort of spiritual absolute.

    yes. exaxtly.

which means if the stimulis come from outside ourselves then our consciousness wouldnt be our own.

we're merely comples cellphones processing signals from gods know where.
