   in the United States the standard definition used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) describes terrorism as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.”

   
   One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Seeing as a lot of these mass shooters are not doing it to coerce or intimidate anyone, like a lot of the Islamic state fighters, they're not actually terrorists at all. Just freedom fighters. And then there's the ones that aren't doing it for freedom, but just want to kill people.
