    I'm a "locally recorded by my drummer buddy" type. He plays in several different groups and always records himself. He edits them and then gives me 80 minute CDs which I play on my 6 disc player in my car. I can listen to 8 hours of him playing around town in a row. Most of it is classic oldies with a more jazzy/blues bent (think Steely Dan, Billy Joel, Albert King). He also plays with a very good country band as well as having played with an Allman Bros. tribute band.
