so wasn't there a user list sheet that was always modified showing all of it's members? I vaguely recall this.

No, there were no user list sheets. The whole point of the BBS was anonymity.

    EFFEN BS

I used the same fucking username on dialup as I did on totse.com when I first came in.

I don't think you were ever a fucking member on there.. or you're trolling as being ignorant about it. just be truthful.

local calls never showed on at&t but some of these guys would forward calls on their then analogue cell phones and the number would show up. I had a creep call me back and threaten me (another BBS but one of enigma's friends and there is a police incident in the 1990s showing this that I made.. dude was a real psycho)

There was no memberlist on the pre-WWW Totse. Period. Full stop. I should know, because I was there.

he wants to make totse non existing and it's ties to a 9/11 Manifesto.

among other shit. but totse was a good place for learning coding and shit. how to hack to protect from being hacked. kiddy-scripts and how to make free phone calls (which AT&T now big brother does not like.. it steals funds from black-0p groups that Infinity is apart of

    ;js

the only thing i want is to make each and every one of you limp with joy and happiness.

Yes, you would choose a username when logging in, or you could use no handle at all and become anonymous. JC Stanton was an early administrator of the pre-WWW BBS.

You were assigned a password with your username

or you had the option to not create one but having a password was supposed to protect anyone else from mirroring your username.

Lame-ass can set this up to have anonymous use as well.. but it wont take long before someone can tell who the fuck it is behind the account.

but there were regular users. hundreds. so I would say that you are wrong, -Spec

Actually, the TelNet BBS didn't have a password. You simply dialed in using the phone number and your HyperTerminal client and you were on the Welcome screen. From there you could enter a handle (or not) and proceed to the BBS forthwith. No password required. No ratio required either, as most BBS did require to download anything.

I must've created my account on totse sometime 'round mid-2004.

I had a nonfiction book report in HS where unfortunately I seemed to have picked a fictional book mislabeled or rather misrepresented as nonfiction out of the school library. That book definitely was a big part of inspiration for this handle.

The book title was Treblinka for those who are curious.
