Just finished No One Gets Out Alive and 10/10 recommend

    10/10?

Alright nigga ill watch it but that's some pretty high praise for what looks like a run-of-the-mill factory horror movie on Netflix.

10/10 means there better be 3 really good jump scares, a powerfully anxious and unsettling feeling the entire time, and induced nightmares in real life for the next few nights.

I thought it was just going to be alright but it exceeded my expectations. Good jump scares and tension throughout but I can’t promise you nightmares bc you are sick and depraved already.

Lanny gives it an 8 bc he says the tension waxed and waned. He’s a fag though.
  5. frala Avant garde shartist
Who even says waxed and waned?

Oh and I choked on my popcorn.

MEOOOWW!!! got you! that was a cat jumping up at the window as I opened the curtains.

What type of horror movies do you like? Do you have any sort of appreciation for campy horror movies?

Fake and gay. Two or three PROPPA ones in a film is just fine and a good thing. When a film is relying on them as their entire gimmick, no, but when well placed, they aren't cheesy or shitty. Part of the FUN FUN FUN of enjoying horror films is having some jolts of fright, especially amidst an overall tense/unnerving experience. This is objective fact for any true fan of the genre.

    Thanks

Also I didn't watch that shit yet and I'm not personally signing off on it (no one gets out alive) but tonight probably I will and I assure you I will not give it a pass if I think it sucks, I WILL LET YOU KNOW, and I will also have a much better idea of what you think good or bad horror films are.

I have a feeling I'm not really gonna like it just based on the name and the cover lol. But we shall see.

You might not like it but I’ve been thinking about it all day bc I loved it that much 😊

Ok I got about 1/3rd through it and couldn't even keep paying attention. It was exactly what I expected it was gonna be.. generic film about a girl in a weird house with some supernatural shit that has been done about ten million times before

Seriously weenie? 10/10? Lol. In your defense maybe somehow the 2nd half of the movie is way better than the first but I mean it would basically have to be a completely different movie. Nothing about this is captivating or anxiety inducing.

You went into it not wanting to like it so you didn’t, but I did and thought the end was better than most generic horror films. I don’t hate camp, supernatural, or jump scares in my horror movies and the end reminded me of Guillermo Del Toro. If it wasn’t for you though that’s cool.

That's not true. I went into with my reservations yes but I mean I still tried it for the sake of your recommendation when that's a film I never would even have thought twice about.

Would you give the first 1/3rd of the movie a 10/10 also?
  14. frala Avant garde shartist
I think it was necessary for the ending.

Anyways, to answer your question yes I wanted to know what the relationship between Russ Langmore and the house was because guess what? I like movies about haunted houses you derpadoo. Plus I love Russ Langmore.

Lol. Goddamn it I was hoping you weren't gonna all weird candyrein defensive and just take my criticism in stride like bantering with a BFF.

It had nothing to do with me wanting blood or gore or anything. It just didn't do anything original whatsoever. I told you I'd be honest with you. There are so many movies with this same format I was just curious why this one was somehow 10/10 standout different. I respected your opinion I was just wondering.

I understand different strokes for different folks.
  18. frala Avant garde shartist
I quite literally said if it wasn’t for you that’s cool lol.
  19. mmQ Lisa Turtle
I know. And I said before that I was gonna give you my honest opinion either way. It's not like I'm mad at you for suggesting it or something.
