   There's truth in what you say, but what you're missing is that Lanny won't fold. He won't relent. He's what you would call obstinate and determined. Even though he's already went on record to declare he will abide by the majority opinion, he would not actually do that, if the opinion is opposite to the one he holds. The only way to get through to the kid is through patient reason and continued harassment.
