   This sounds like a good idea if you want temporarily locked away.
   I'm sure they'd want some sort of evidence or atleast references. You could always gets some pigs blood and bleed a little on the floor of an abandoned house and leave a knife with blood on it nearby.
   
   Then when they start questioning you, send them the address. I'm sure they'd keep you locked up for a day or two, depending on your acting and how fast they are.

   I just remembered that faking a crime is a crime itself here so if you do it big time like, let's say you claim you locked a missing child in an abandoned house and raped it for weeks then killed it you could actually do some time for the lie.

    Even if you confess to a crime, you will be vetted. The police force doesn’t want to judicate an individual falsely confessing to a crime. They REALLY want the individual who committed the crime, not someone who didn’t, but is willing to serve the time.
    
    However, this depends on too many factors because the question is so vague on what crime is being committed.
    
    In the case of a confession, the police force wants the individual who has no alibi, fits the description and knows about the crime.
