   dude I stayed in Jersey City less than half a mile from their residence. I didn't know there were such fancy Brownstones. I stayed in a ghetto and an old tenement building a block from the Holland Tunnel road on Groves

   There is plenty an HOA can do, such as ultimately getting you evicted from your own home. It's really dumb to buy a house with a HOA in place.

    HOA & friends have in the last couple years been a bit of a mismatch for the server culture, they and other likeminded people are roleplaying up in Paleto to get somewhat away from the requried grind of being a crim/civ, but even the groups up there now have operations where efficiency is of most importance.
    
    Taking some time off sounds like a good idea to not fall into the trap of doing the same things/running into the same situations every day and instead keep making unique events and/or fresh roleplay ideas.
    I don’t know if HOA ever really matched with the way of the server. Love HOA and have always enjoyed watching them. HOA were always RP driven, wanting to come up with plans for jobs that made it fun for all involved, but a lot of the time they would not get any police response as they would be tied up with what ever CG were up to that day (since they both played the same timezone). 3.0 mechanics a lot of the time didn’t allow for much planning for jobs other then drive and/or bike swap, ect. Not HOA’s idea of a good time. They tried their best to make do with what they had, but I can see why they may have gotten burnt out/weren’t into the RP anymore.
