    I've always sucked at asking for specific medications personally. Like I saw a new Dr the other day for the second time, and told her my anxiety at times literally makes my stomach hurt and my body and prevents me from doing basic thinfs and it's just random, nothing specific that seems to trigger it.
    
    She said well "we can try some things like benzodiazepines..."
    
    And in my head I'm like 'holy shit is she really gonna just give me some heavy stuff?' (which I've literally never been prescribed in my life)
    
    "...but I don't want to start there as they have the potential to become habit forming so I think let's try something like propranolol for now."
    
    And I internally sighed. But whatever.
    
    I suppose there's an art to it all. I would just feel awkward as fuck saying I WOULD LIKE SOME ADDERALL AND I WOULD LIKE SOME XANAX.

    Doc I've neen prescribed propranolol in the past and it was horrible. It made me tired and dizzy. My hands and feet felt like I couldn't get them warm. Sleeping was difficult at best and, half the time, when I could sleep I had nightmares. I don't ever want to go through that again.
    
    Side effects look them up 1st.
