A tyrant needs only to set up "The System" correctly for it to be the fully self sufficient measure of oppression and control, and a reliable enhancement for who needs to be destroyed. Such is the case in all walks of life, including but not limited to politics.
As long as you stay within the system, you are playing the game. You seem to be getting ahead by learning the nuances of the system. But you are only playing the game.
