But I wasn't actually a Jeff Hunter supporter, strange as that may seem. I support his ideals, but not the man himself. The lieks of me frowns on absentee dictators, and I also take it as a personal offense when corrupt and power abusing mods, such as acidmelt and zok, for example, get selected to run rampant all over a perfectly good BBS and its contributors. So, although he talked a good story, he didn't walk a straight line, especially at the end, just before he got hacked and his little circlejerk got fucked up the asses real good. Not even close. There are many ways you can be convicted and still not have a criminal record. For example, a suspended sentence means a conviction, but no criminal record, if good behavior for a set period of time. You would/could still be placed/remain on the sex offender's list, even if your record is cleared. -

Im familiar with suspended sentences and expunging records, but in this case, the fact that you're on the list to begin with clearly demonstrates that you don't have a clean record, regardless of any convictions being wiped away. -

Again, I understand that. Truth be told I actually think it would maybe work the other way around. One might get removed from the LIST, but their sex crime would remain on the record.
I don't think there would be a case where someone gets their record cleared, expunged, whatever, and still remains on the sex offender registry.
If you can show me an example I would be very surprised. -
