I have some documents on current-gen Iranian drones - I wasn't exaggerating on the price; most of them are very similar to large model aeroplanes and cost <$1000USD to build -

Makes sense though. It's undeniable that drones are the #1 necessity of next generation warfare. It'd be nice to have attack drone like the USA but more importantly, recon drones completely change the game for BOTG warfare. If they can make them cheap, all the better. They likely don't want to waste a bunch of resources on them, and they probably serve their purpose fine, they'll be happy to toss $1 million into 1000 recon drones if they cost $4 billion to take them down.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -
2017-09-20 at 3:02 AM UTCyup, I posted about that a while back - the Yemeni army have been playing havoc with Saudi air defences using that cost/benefit ratio.
as above, a Patriot missile costs ~$2-4million based on who you ask. An average Iranian-made drone (virtually just a large model plane with reliable controls and a decent-quality FPV camera) goes for maybe $200-500.
The Yemeni army has been flying them directly into Patriot radar arrays. Saudis have the option to either A) shoot it down, spending $4mil on something that wasn't a significant threat in the first place or B) ignore it, at which point it rams the radar array, likely taking it offline for recalibration if it doesn't seriously damage it/destroy it outright.
Once the radar is down or the missile batteries are depleted, they're free to drop their more expensive TBMs wherever they want. -

just get one of the niggers to climb on top of the fucking radar with a baseball bat and swing away, ffs.
they can literally be shot down with a 30-cent shotgun round.
granted...the range is shit, but if they want to save their $xx-million ADEF radar, they can spend a few more dollars on a few dozens of .50BMG rounds for better assurances of a splash. thats a much better cost/benefit ratio than a fucking millions-of-dollars interceptor. -
