I'm starting my bulk phase as of this Friday, and I'm thinking of my next cut. This whole summer cut I've been using 16/8 fasting. Basically, I don't eat anything 4 hours after I wake up and 4 hours before I sleep (midnight if I'm lucky). In the interim 8 hour period, I eat my caloric allowance (~1600 for this cut phase).
What do you guys use? Should I switch it up? A friend of mine at the gym uses 24/24 i.e. 0 cal one day and 2000 the next day. This means he eats nothing one day, shaves off the 2K calories or whatever. Then he eats a 2000 allowance through the other day, which means he crushes his BMR (e.g. 1800) and is at an 1800 deficit in two days. Sounds like a great way to drop BFP.

You cant bulk up with a deficit. I don't know anyone who does what your friend does. Seems stupid.
Stick to an 8 hour window. I don't know how much weight you want to gain and how fast, though.

Makes sense.
7000 calories a week is crazy low, though. Even 1800 calories a day is pretty low if the dude is active. I'd like to know who came up with that 24/24 split. What are the supposed benefits apart from GH levels?
