Intermittent fasting

  1. #1
I'm starting my bulk phase as of this Friday, and I'm thinking of my next cut. This whole summer cut I've been using 16/8 fasting. Basically, I don't eat anything 4 hours after I wake up and 4 hours before I sleep (midnight if I'm lucky). In the interim 8 hour period, I eat my caloric allowance (~1600 for this cut phase).

What do you guys use? Should I switch it up? A friend of mine at the gym uses 24/24 i.e. 0 cal one day and 2000 the next day. This means he eats nothing one day, shaves off the 2K calories or whatever. Then he eats a 2000 allowance through the other day, which means he crushes his BMR (e.g. 1800) and is at an 1800 deficit in two days. Sounds like a great way to drop BFP.

You cant bulk up with a deficit. I don't know anyone who does what your friend does. Seems stupid.

Stick to an 8 hour window. I don't know how much weight you want to gain and how fast, though.

Yes I know brotato, I said I'm thinking of my NEXT cut. He does it on his CUT. Nobody is expecting to bulk and cut at the same time.

I just want to cut fast and get back to 15% so I can go back to bulking.

    Makes sense.

7000 calories a week is crazy low, though. Even 1800 calories a day is pretty low if the dude is active. I'd like to know who came up with that 24/24 split. What are the supposed benefits apart from GH levels?

I'm afraid it's your skin. You see... the lab results are in, and... well...

    Your skin... it's brown.

Congratulations on learning your colours for the first time. Up next, numbers! For example, your autism quotient is 48. Can you say 48?

I'm pretty sure he's just doing it for a quick cut. I used to use IF for bulk (i.e. I'd rather ~300 calories surplus per day with IF) but I said fuck it and just dirty bulk nowadays.

Reminder that Captain Falcon once tried to deny being brown, saying that him being pakistani was all a "big troll".

I never said it wasn't a troll. I'm not going to stop you from saying it though; you're a good boy and I'm sure it helps soothe your autismal rage.
