Cream Stew recipe

   I tried making this dish for the first time a while ago and thought it was hella dope. It's a Western-influenced Japanese dish and it goes well with rice. I'm not going to include complete measurements 'cus it's cooking nigga not chemistry.
   
   

   • Chop one big phat onion into tiny pieces and fry dat shit in oil. (Feel free to throw in some chopped garlic as well if you're into that sort of thing)
   • Throw in some diced chicken thighs (Thighs are a lot better tasting that breast amirite guise) and stir dat shit until it's cooked through. (Optional: Throw in some white whine 'cus why not)
   • Add chicken stock, (I've been using about 2 cups worth when cooking this if you need a reference of scale.) potatoes, etc. and bring it all to a boil.
   • Prepare the roux in a separate vessel: Melt a good amount of butter and mix in an equal amount of flour until it's all smooth over low heat. (I normally use corn flour) Add some double/heavy cream to it after mixing the butter/flour until a nice consistency is achieved
   • After mixing the roux, transfer it to the main pot and mix it all well. Boil then simmer for a while until it's all mixed evenly.
   • Add seasonings to taste (Salt, pepper, whatever, etc.) as it simmers

   
   That's pretty much it. Make some rice on the side and serve the stew with it.
