You're piggy-backing off of Totse's success but not following their mission statement. Somewhere along the lines it went from using our right to free speech as a means to educate one another to using our right to free speech as an excuse to bitch about garbage posts being shitcanned.

    Not that I really disagree but I don't think there's acceptable redress to the situation. Free speech isn't really free if you tell people what to do with it.

    Moving things to the proper section would be the only viable solution to both the problem of rampant shitposting, and the problem of infringing upon free speech. It's hard to have real discussion when Spurious and Half Baked are just dumping grounds for every thread. Granted, we'll still have shitposts, but at least it can start being curved into STRUCTURED shitposting.

    I agree, I do move a fair number of threads around, it's kind of a drag to come home and herd a pack of shitposting cats into the appropriate subforums though. Maybe I should appoint some mods.

    I can only imagine. Even with mainstream software like phpBB, or e107 it's tedious as fuck. Maybe you should, but that potentially opens a whole new can of worms.
