yeh but we pretty much know all the deciding factors when it comes to evolution. when it comes to spacey shit there is shit loads of stuff we don't even know.

The way we test a theory is to use its implications as a predictive mechanism. Then see if what the theory predicts comes true. In this case we have a mountain of evidence. -

yeh but there could still be factors in space that we couldn't even conceive of that could cause false positives.

Ok but until we find them, or some impact from them, the model stands. That's why it's a theory. You'll have to find some phenomenon that the model doesn't account for, then we see if it's wrong or not. You can say that for literally anything else that we consider a fact too. It's not worth considering until there's a reason to do so. -

i still prefer my theory that our universe is an atom that is part of a bigger universe, and that all the atoms in our universe are also universes etc etc etc. that's also an unproven theory, but i'm gonna stick with that for now.
i do wonder just exactly where the atom that is our universe is in the next universe up. are we like a water atom just somewhere in an ocean. maybe we're a carbon atom in the centre of a rock in the middle of a planet. for all we know we could be a jizz atom just drying up on the end of some creatures dick.

but you don't know for sure that it is fiction. it is perfectly conceivable and no one has been able to rule it out. i mean atoms are so small and universes are so vast, there is no way you could tell there wasn't a whole other world going on in one of them atoms. i call it nested theory, see it even has a name.

I don't know for sure any fiction is fiction. For all I know, Harry Potter could be a historical document. But there is no reason to believe in it. -
