2017-10-16 at 8:10 AM UTCI don’t really watch much anime. I used to watch DBZ and Tenchi when they were on. I’ve been watching Watamote recently because someone told me that I remind them of the main character and I’ve been liking it so far.

2017-10-16 at 2:07 PM UTCCan we talk about some plots? I see all these names but it doesn't get me interested at all.
Also does anybody here watch the new dbz? I watch an episode here and there, and I'm totally confused by what they've done to it. Gods, evil goku, women saiyans, dog men who take drugs to fight better, super saiyan red, blue, and now this silver haired 'ultimate instinct' shit that Goku unlocks after being sucked into a black hole. If you watched dbz at any point in your life I suggest at least looking this shit up so you can see what they're doing to it, because it plays like some really bad fan fiction. -

It seems like all they do is fight in some otherworldly arena type thing, the couple episodes of it I've half-watched. I used to like the parts in DB and DBZ that had at least some impact on or interaction with everyday earthlings. The episodes with teenage Gohan being the Great Saiyaman were some of my favorites back in the day. -
2017-10-16 at 5:42 PM UTCAlso, Krillin with hair is just weird.

2017-11-15 at 8:43 AM UTCCurrently watching through this. Quite enjoying it:
It's a romantic comedy with supernatural elements. Has an opening song produced by Dimitri From Paris. A freelance photographer takes in a vampire girl he rescued and wacky shenanigans ensue. Quite fun and lighthearted all things considered. But I mostly know it from the theme song alone. -
2017-11-25 at 12:24 AM UTCThe first anime I ever watched was Neon Genesis Evangelion and I am still quite partial to it.

2017-11-25 at 1:11 AM UTCOh snap, Food Wars season 3 is airing and it has an 8.63 rating on MAL. I was looking for something light-hearted (Well, I wouldn't necessarily say it's light-hearted about cooking) and fun to watch.

I was not at all into it until they started introducing other say-uns and stuff. I don't watch every episode or watch it regularly at all, but it's interesting to see where it goes. I was a little upset that those dog guys got to use drugs and then no other team used drugs. -

2017-11-29 at 11:10 PM UTCIt sickens me that the normie masses are tainting my precious anime.
I hope someone blows up the offices of netflix, adult swim etc.
Anime should only be watched by hikikomori and anti-social autist otaku. -

2017-11-30 at 1:52 AM UTCIDK Mal Mal, people have been telling me Food Wars is the shit for some time now. I should probably just stop complaining and watch it. But an anime about food doesn't seem appealing to me in general.

2017-11-30 at 2:17 AM UTCIt's really extravagant. This isn't a serene style of cooking show, they have hardcore duels and shit.
-
2017-11-30 at 2:18 AM UTCAlso, I need suggestions for comedy anime to watch. Something really amusing that will make me laugh, generally enjoyable to watch. Not strictly comedy, but that should be one of the genres that can apply to it.

Nichijou was pretty funny. I am currently watching Urara Meirochou, it's alright. SoL with some comedy elements. It's not the greatest anime ever but a decent watch if you need a quick fun animu. -

Originally posted by Lanny I've never watched NGE. I try now and then and get a few episodes in but it never seems to be the transcendental experience people build it up to be so I stop. I guess I just need to power through it and make my judgment when I get to the end (ends give their stories meanings and NGE's defines its associated work more than most) but I always feel like I'm wasting something that by all accounts is supposed to be awesome.
It's overrated to the max and the ending is literally a troll ending by the creators. NGE is extremely important in the history of anime but it's just not that great.
Basically, just watch Pacific Rim. -
2017-11-30 at 4:44 AM UTCMost Animes are pretty shit. I hate that stereotypical anime girl scream and the move naming and the moments where it sounds like a tinfoil bell is ringing and then they change the art style to something more simplistic because something funny/crushing/cringey/scary happened.
I want more miyazaki tier films. People say to me, "Oh you just don't like anime" but I don't like most tv/movies. Anime is a big wide genre tho so it's hard to find out how to describe what I do like, and also I'm not sure why I'm ranting about this.
