Yep, but if you're doing pushups in the first place without weights, as OP implied, you're likely not going for strength, but rather to get better at pushups/endurance/fitness.
And I've tried that, and gotten way stronger than a lot of people, and guess what? Doesn't increase your ability to do pushups nearly as much as you'd like to imagine in that steroid abused brain of yours.
You will gain a bit of muscle but we both know that isn't the goal and we also both know there's much better ways, hence you being a retard. -

So you're claiming OP doesn't want to get bigger and stronger at all, just wants to get "better" at pushups?
Lol man what planet are you from? Dead serious.
What the fuck do you think I meant when I said functional strength? Endurance is part of that.
The guy asked about pushups motherfucker so the idea that working a bench press will get you stronger than doing pushups is irrelevant.
Stick your head in a wood chipper. Thank you. -

I'd be a lot more inclined to literally stick your faggot ass into one, and get away with it on top of that. Learn some physiology like I said you low IQ sack of shit.
Endurance is not equal to strength. -

Endurance is not equal to strength.
So if a guy can only do 10 pushups with his own bodyweight, but after a few weeks he can do 20 with 100lbs of weight strapped to his upper body, you think that's only an increase in endurance? Nothing to do with strength?
And you think my IQ is fucked? Lol -

You have a very feminine way of typing. Capitalizing the L in "lol" as if it's proper to begin. You know, the way a person types tells a lot about them.
And you think my IQ is fucked? Lol
Your attempts to look masculine aren't helping you.
Of course, though, you are too retarded to understand what I'm trying to say and that's the real problem here. The point here is that you're a moron that needs to learn basic physiology... Pushups for strength is just plain retarded but if that's his goal he's got other issues. -
