Our power got cut off

2020-01-26 at 10:37 PM UTCThe lack of electricity is the least of my problems right now. I have too much on my plate and it's becoming hard to balance and very close to all crashing and burning.

2020-01-26 at 10:38 PM UTCThe more you beg, the more they shit on you. They're not allowed to just leave you high and dry no matter what, even if you're not following the "action plan". They can't kick you off. All they can do is pressure you more and more. At a certain point, you have to employ a gentle amount of pushback, and there's really fuck all they can do about it.

2020-01-26 at 10:42 PM UTCThey cut me off all the time. I have like 10 letters saying "Your payment has been suspended, please contact your case manager" and they always do it right at the end of the month. Usually I just have to talk to them and they 'release the funds' a few times it was on a friday so I had to wait until monday to get the money.
Every time it happens I get a little bit closer to ending my life. I have started packing suicide kits the day before payday so in case the money doesn't arrive I can chug a bottle of tylenol, 5000mg D X M, slice myself open with a kitchen knife and then I just have to go to the hospital and I will get ODSP $1000/month -

That letter is automatically generated and mailed out by the system every so many months at regular intervals. It's not sent by the case worker. The only reason your check is on hold near the end of the month is because your worker put a hold on it because he/she just wants to see if you've had any income. The letter is not meant to be a sign you're getting kicked off. Trust me. It's just that your case worker wants an update as to your progress. Just tell him/her you haven't been feeling well and you'll get right on something soon. There's really fuck all they can do in any case, no matter what. Don't worry. -
2020-01-26 at 10:52 PM UTCThey could just phone me or email me instead of making it so I can't pay rent and making my girlfriend yell at me and tell me to get the fuck out and kill myself.

2020-01-26 at 10:53 PM UTCThat's an awful lot of anxiety you are putting yourself through, for what normies like your case worker would regard as a pittance.
I would suggest that instead of playing this passively start playing this actively. Action always beats no action. Speak to people, NGOs, community supports, citizens information, employment services, local organisations. Just about anyone will be happy to make time out of their day to speak to you. Facebook can be a great support for this as well. But the point is that you move instead of waiting for something to happen to you. -

They can't phone or e-mail. They're so understaffed they can hardly handle the load of refugees and aliens flooding their system. They use the automated mailing system instead. You're really worrying way too much about this, no matter what they said the last time you saw them. You're fine. You won't get kicked off no matter what. -

They probably have a payment review section in the office that suspend payments where the paperwork isn't up to scratch. Their just is to suspend a bunch of payments, they don't care whose or why.
The fact that you'd suicide over $400 a month is pretty sad and you need to pull your head out your ass there. Have you tried disability?
Protip: some panadol, ibuprofen, codeine, tramadol, booze and topical painkillers and you can cut your wrist open pretty easy without too much pain. I did that once, bled out about a pint, still have a big scar. -

It's $724 a month. -
2020-01-26 at 11:09 PM UTCI think it would just be better for everyone if I killed myself. It probably costs less to process my corpse than it does to pay me for a month.
They could spend that $400/mo on someone who isn't broken. The aggressive homeless people that harass old ladies around my apartment all probably got cut off from OW. I would rather be dead than end up like that
I could start working part time and save up and get a place on my own if hts wants to kick me out and burn all my possessions but I just don't have it in me anymore to rebuild my life from scratch. Every few years I have to start over with nothing it seems.
Even if I get a job and make a bunch of money that's usually when everything starts going downhill for me. I'm tired of trying. -

If I'm dead she gets more money.
Well, just call PeopleReady and redo the intake and you'll have cash the next work day, then tell OntarioWorks that's what you've decided to do. Then tell HTS to get off your back. -
2020-01-26 at 11:14 PM UTCThe government wants me to suicide so they don't have to waste $400 a month on me. It's not her fault I understand why she hates me. Everyone always ends up hating me eventually.
If I could get paid for making people hate me I would be a very wealthy man -
2020-01-26 at 11:15 PM UTCThis is a bottom of the barrel tier thread geezus!

Fuck cares how much it costs. It's a pittance in the real world, the world you have no visibility into. They could spend that $400/mo on someone who isn't broken.
$100 a week? Really?I could start working part time and save up and get a place on my own if hts wants to kick me out and burn all my possessions
Sounds like a real keeper. Sell the possessions. Rent is too high to afford to have an apartment as a storage place for hikikomoi tier junk.I just don't have it in me anymore to rebuild my life from scratch.
You're a MOON PERSON, you have no choice. This is our life.Even if I get a job and make a bunch of money that's usually when everything starts going downhill for me.
At least having money is nice. Concentrate on the money. Or move to Thailand or somewhere. Don't be nice any more. Toughen up. Soul callouses. -
2020-01-26 at 11:17 PM UTCAlso, after working a single day, you are entitled to a $250 work allowance, to buy boots, gloves, hardhat, vest, etc, and you don't need to show receipts.
-
2020-01-26 at 11:21 PM UTCI am pretty tough. I would go on a mass killing but I don't drive or own a gun so it's almost pointless to even try. I am so broke I can't even commit a mass murder, imagine that.

I got all of that even though every job I had lately was just standing around waiting an hour for someone to figure out what I am supposed to be doing.
I felt like I should have been wearing flipflops and a Margarita with that pace. -
2020-01-26 at 11:22 PM UTCgetting more interested in disability
would be able to get my free insurance back to boot if I did that, you get like idk a thousand dollars (tax free) and then you still get to work for another thousand dollar a month plus plasma donating is several hundred (tax free again) and then your taxes go down for being poorer I think
I'm sure there's downsides to it which is why I don't look more heavily into it as well as feeling uncomfortable trying to live off welfare and goading my doctor into letting me do that -
2020-01-26 at 11:23 PM UTCI don't even have a healthcare card so the only way I can get disability is by doing something very drastic and spending a few months in a psych ward
