Try looking at your couch and guessing how many centimeters long it is.

    It's like 3 meters bro.

I can never understand Americans talking about the weather OH DAMN IT'S 20 ITS FREEZING. Water freezes at 0 though so that sounds pretty warm to me.

How do you calculate a boiling point? I don't get it.

the temp is much more precise so it's better

when weights get too small we just use metric on the fly

which is the best way to do it and why everyone does to an extent

it's like being bilinigual, having multiple systems is more holistic even if not 100% necessary

One doesn't, but one does borrows words from other languages that have no direct translation when it's fulfills a practical purpose

    all the time

just like I don't really know the entire metric system by heart, but I know it well enough to get the job done when I need it the most

You're a moron. -40c and -40f are roughly the same.

They’re not roughly the same they’re exactly the same, that was the joke.

It’s only the same at that temperature. Every other temperature measurement from zero kelvin up they have different values

Fahrainheit had it's purpose back in the day. Coldest temperature they were able to record was 0. Then they used the temperature of pigs blood for 100. Which makes sense to use.

If it’s comparable to human blood, that’s actually pretty close to Fahrenheit
