You can get an eviction order ..in again, 3 days.
Correction:
"How long does it take to evict someone in Texas? From start to finish approximately three weeks • 3 days from notice to vacate to filing of suit • 8-10 days to serve the citation -The law requires the defendant have a least six days no more than 10 days notice before the hearing."
...so total 3 weeks if they refused to leave. Again...and that's tenant. In the case of a squatter you can kick them out yourself then and there, they have no rights unless they have been in the property for 10yrs and even then they could only claim a right.
If I go home tonight and someone is in my home I can kick them out, call the cops who will kick them out or shoot them. -

That only applies if your property is being removed.
You cannot just go into a house and shoot someone lying in bed just because you want them to leave.
You are worse than Wariat I swear. "Can I just go around killing people just cos?"

Without any paperwork signed by the tenant? Without even knowing who the tenant is? -

What state do you live in?
Yes you can "just go in and kick someone out in Texas as squatters don't have any rights in Texas unless they have occupied the property for 10yrs..(this is about squatters remember). "Squatters" in Texas are trespassers, that is NOT a civil matter.
Tenents takes 3 weeks...for the whole process as quoted.
The stand your ground law wouldn't apply to tenants obviously...that was re a squatter.
Comprehension! -

Huh? if they didn't sign a lease (that you have a copy of) then they are not a tenant...they are a squatter..and we are back to the Squatters are not recognized in Texas..they are trespassers...and can be removed immediately (by yourself or the cops). -
2020-01-15 at 8:48 PM UTCI got up and turned on the TV just as the Alameda County Sheriff was crashing through the door.
then this angry Man pulled two women toe to toe with the sheriff (standing in their faces as a form of protest) as the cops did nothing. Very well restraint.
then the man acted like he was going to strike one of the cops but he did nothing. just stood restraint. I was shocked. like he was willing to take a punch first before bringing the beatdown of a lifetime by a hundred other cops.
Oakland has changed to the level I have never seen. Both in unaffordability to the locals and cops not beating the shit out of you for just sneezing the wrong way.
Also your racism just solves nothing. it doesn't add your little shock value you try to go for. it is pure expectable stupidity. Please die off already. -

The 10 year thing is adverse possession. We are talking about short term squatters.
Trespass is the definition of a civil matter.
Everyone has a right to privacy in their own home. Think for a minute. What if I roll up to your house at 10pm one night and claim that I actually own the property. I call the cops - what happens? -

The cops would come, I'd show them my deed/mortgage agreement/lease (delete as appropriate), letters/utility bills with my name on it, my driving license with my address on it, car insurance,..100 other documents, they more than likely could look it up in their computer too. The cops would cuff the nut and take him away within about 20 mins or so. -
2020-01-15 at 8:53 PM UTCSquaters rights is getting phased out. it's basicly an old law on the books that really didn't mean shit for decades since those who practice it usually took up abandoned farmhouses
now with the housing market as tight as it is, it's clear people are using it for some chance to live for a while as long as they set up a utility like power.
once that is established.. it's not trespassing, it is squatters rights! thats the key to it.. set up anything. a Cable Bill, Water, PG&E etc. -
2020-01-15 at 8:58 PM UTCI talked to someone from London who said they had the same problem (The squatters rights most certainly started in the UK before it became a thing in the USA)
Same there as here and all other large cities
England phased it out. Because Chinese and Arabs and other wealthy people buying property but not living there. They buy it as an investment with tax benefits. and no one occupies these huge mansions. So it was trendy for middle class in England to say "Oh i'll set up a utility bill and then my drivers license and so on and you now live in the house. it can take almost a year to go through the process of getting police to remove you. you usually get a 72 hour notice and that's when you bail. No rent paid.
So this old law in the UK was removed. -

Do you even realise how complicated land and property ownership is? And why would the cops take me away? Claiming to own something that I do not is not a crime.
In reality the cops would probably not come, and if they did they would tell me to fuck off as dealing with it's not their problem, any more than any other contractual dispute is.
And a smart squatter would just not answer and not cooperate, which is not illegal. -
2020-01-15 at 9:01 PM UTCSquatting was a big problem in the UK when I lived there, I've never heard of it once here in the 22yrs I've lived in Texas..because here it simply doesn't exist. Either you kick em out or the cops will if you're too chicken shit to do it yourself...they are a trespasser plane and simple.
"The trespassing may be considered a crime, a civil wrong, or both depending on where the trespassing occurs and the laws in that particular state. For example, someone who trespasses onto another's land and steals personal property of the owner can be charged with criminal trespass." -
2020-01-15 at 9:02 PM UTCYou drug addicts would feel much different if you had actually worked your ass off to allow yourself to purchase a residence rather than playing video games or nodding out or spending all of your time being worthless pieces of crap trying to get by off of hardworking people.
Get a fucking job. Learn a skill. Have a career. Hell, dig ditches if you have to. This time of year it seems like the news reports almost every day where some low life squatter sets a fire in a vacant home and burns the fucking thing down.
Not sorry if I hurt your feelings. -

Yes I own property...again, what state are you in???
The cops here in Texas would arrest you for trespass if you refused to leave and ...see below
