2017-02-01 at 5:33 PM UTCMy favorite all you can eat chinese place always has a nice display of various kinds but I've never attempted to try any. I suppose it's because I dislike fish(of any kind) completely cooked so something I don't like being eaten raw is quite the turn off for me.
As already said though I see the appeal it is pretty aesthetic looking and something "different" I suppose.
Does it taste like I think it does? Raw fish that is. -

I've never had raw fish other than sushi, so I guess its hard for me to make a comparison, to say eating a raw mackerel or catfish straight out of the lake and not cooked. If anything its less slimey and gooey than say a cooked tilapia.
So I guess it does taste like raw fish lol. But I guess to each their own, in some countries I've heard they eat raw beef, and to me thats disgusting and I've never done it.
Sushi is very smooth and taste less "fishy" than say tuna or mackerel or salmon (imo) but i like all kinds of sea food/ fish
though even more than sushi, i like oysters, crab(sushi taste closest to crap) and shrimp -

Yeah raw beef sounds horrid I cooked a filet mignon earlier medium rare but idk it's different when I do it versus a restuarant I suppose I'm a just a better judge of what I like than a stranger cook I don't even see or talk to. Tilapia is one of the more bearable fish for me if I had to choose. I don't despise sea food shrimp is good as well as cooked mussels. I actually tried (somewhat)cooked frog legs just last year with the skin and all still on them they weren't bad or good pretty bland really and definitely not like the "taste like chicken" joke had me to believe.
I'll give sushi a try next time I'm at the chinese place off the top of my head I know they have the outside black/inside white kind Idk what you call the different kinds...for some reason I was under the assumption they were coy fish but that sounds too expensive for all you can eat for 10 bucks. -
