2019-12-31 at 3:49 AM UTCthere was a kid at my high school who died at school camp because he was extremely allergic to peanut butter... but ate one of those single-serve packets of peanut butter as part of a game. he was in the year below me so I didn't actually see it, but I was told he seized hard before his airways closed up

2019-12-31 at 3:53 AM UTCAny more with seizures you’re just supposed to lay them on their side, move/remove anything that may cause them harm, and let ‘em go at it.
I broke a finger trying to help a person having a seizure. He was on my xray table, and he was banging his head on the table. I was afraid he was gonna crack his skull. I went to put a rolled up towel under his head, he slammed it down again, on my fucking finger! -

What a dick! I hope you gave him 200 times the allowed amount of X-Rays afterward to get revenge. -

2019-12-31 at 3:56 AM UTCI mean they got to pinpoint or @ least narrow down the cause it could be epilepsy, allergy etc. just can't introduce more chemicals into a potential stew ?! Stabilize best as possible then diagnose.

they probably all died before making it to first grade lol
yeah, bit of a mystery there, he definitely knew he had severe allergies and while he wasn't exactly popular, none of his friends thought he'd want to intentionally off himself. in such a painful way no less -

yeah 2 of them were eight years ago, that gont muffins sent me some spice and I was smoking it and drinking, eating tramadol and I fell into my dishwasher (it was open) and still have the scar and my gf said I stopped breathing and started turnig blue so called the fuzz..
I was so fucked up from that seizure that whenever I woke up after having it for a couple of days I would forget what happened. Then it happened again a couple months after that due to eating tramadol, which lowers the seizure threshold (didn't know that)
then it happened a few years ago, I quit drinking for 16 hours before going to my probation meeting, incase he was gonna test me, and all I remember was he was handing me the not to come in next month and I woke up handcuffed to a bed in the hospital with some asian nurse telling me that I tried to fight the cops, but my po later said I was just confused and they were just trying to hold me , I smashed my face on his table lol..
It was fucked up though because they gave me a shot of ativan up my ass and I was so billegerent and confused when I woked up cuffed to the bed I started yelling and they gave me a bus pass to my car back at the probation office and I drove home, but at every red light for several miles I would nodd out hard.. I got home.. and turned on the lights and my power went out.. and it wasn't because I didn't pay the electricity bill.. it was really messed up.
I felt really bad, luckily avenue b girl let me stay at her place and smoke her weed and eat mushrooms.

Poor guy. Peer pressure in middle school high school sucks. I like to think I'd be able to say no to someone forcing something on me that I know will kill me but I guess you never know at the moment. -

it was a common thread at the time that he was pressured into it, but my brother was there and said it didn't seem to be the case, that he was eager to do it himself -

Yeah based on the article and your brother it was probably a peer pressure thing right ? He was eager to be cool and maybe nobody else realized the implications.
