2019-12-19 at 12:09 PM UTCNo, the 24 hour notice shouldn't be mandatory. They should be able to show up with ZERO notice and inspect their property. The fact you are worried about the outcome proves why they are required. The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

Found the shitty tenant. When notice is given it gives shitty tenants like you a chance to hide all the things they should have been evicted for already. There's plenty of people out there who won't destroy the property that can't because pieces of shit like you are busy destroying it.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

hippity hoppity the dwelling is legally mine under the eyes of the law. Paying rent gives me rights to be on that property and a right to privacy.
I can call the police if they try to come in without any previous notice -

Sounds like you're projecting your personal problems. Care to share?
Usually landlords with these problems own the shitty buildings in bad part of town.
Good thing we have laws to protect innocent tenants against idiots like you. I'd shoot your ass if you tried to bust into my apt unannounced. -

Yes, which is why I made the post stating that shouldn't be necessary. I see your athletic abilities isn't great.
You're somewhat right, and that's the problem. Paying rent shouldn't make it legally yours, just give you legal right to occupy the space, because the fact of the matter is it ISN'T yours. If somebody gets hurt there YOU don't get sued. If the roof blows off YOU aren't responsible. Unless YOU are the sole person responsible for the maintenance YOU shouldn't be considered shit but a renter.
