The price does not necessarily reflect qualities. I have tried american vodkas that are expensive but do not taste nearly as good as Stolichnaya.
Sometimes its better to import better stuff from overseas than pay a premium for a lesser product just because it is made domestically. -

for something "cheap" i found absolute to be ok. i dont like stolichnaya because they always come in cheap, plain bottle without tamperproff valves, so i dont really know what im getting. -

What kind of bottles are you talking about? The ones they sell here have the little ring underneath the cap that cracks when you first open it. Or is counterfeit vodka a big thing in your country? -

yea, that kind of generic aluminum cap and ring is widely available to any bottling plant and just about any factory can make copies that look exactly alike.
and yes, in almost all 3rd world shithole country fakes are rampant. i used to buy those cheap 1 liter whiskeys which were alleged to have been smuggled in, but tbh i could never tell if they're genuine article that was smuggled in, or fake.
i had this chivas regal that tastes like the original thing but i had difficulty scanning the qr code on it, which made me question its authenticity, and then it began to dawn on me that cant really remember how genuine chivas tastes like because it was some time ago between me drinking the one i got from the store and that "smuggled" piece.
im glad i didnt go blind. -

I blacked out and woke up to barf over my bed and the smell I was cleaning (had to throw out the topper) was so nasty yet tastes so similar to the sweet grapes mixed with alc. No more wine for me, at least not red and/or sweet.
