   My favorite hash is the kind I make myself. If it's not the texture and look of chocolate, it's not as good. If it just looks like lightly pressed kief, it's not that good. It may be less potent/more oxidized when you heat it before pressing thoroughly, but it's just plain better that way. Better flavor, more refined flavor and stone.

   Whats the difference between hash and compressed kief? I bought an ounce of kief off a DNM a few months ago for $110 or so and it came in several large chunks with hardly any powder, broke down and crumbled easily but you could still rip off a chunk and smoke it in a bowl by itself just fine.

   Pretty sure the main difference is heat and pressure, but I believe there are a variety of processes used to produce the different types of hash you can find out there.

    You wouldn't believe how much some people pay for hash screens. stupid noob for one. I showed him these screens on IRC they used to have, at around 45 microns, or higher, I got them because scale bugs and white flies couldn't get through at 45 microns, but they were actually a dirt cheap way of making a hash box, compared to what stupid noob and other people paid. He thought it was pretty cool.
    
    I doubt they still have them. But yeah, heat makes the hash softer and therefore more sticky so that when you press it (higher pressure is better than lower pressure) it becomes very dense and that gives it that dark chocolate color. This is good for smuggling, but incidentally produces a hash that tastes better and smokes better than kief that isn't pressed well or with sufficient pressure.

    Cannabis is a medicine...not an adulterant. If you smoke it regularly you will not get cancer.

    Every organic combustion produces carcinogens like polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and benzenes. Including weed, which has been proven to contain these and has mixed results on causing cancer from smoking it.
