    1 down, 6 to go!

Do i cut a little hole for the stick so I can tilt the blinds open?
I guess I can't see out now anyways...

I just had to get one out of my system tonight.
Imma do the rest tomorrow and plan on making a vlog bout it.
Then imma staple gun up the mix-matched curtains to give it more warmth.

The plastic should cover the window frame itself as well, taped to the wall and stretched tight all around (a hairdryer works to shrink and stretch), and the blinds should be on the outside of the plastic.

He clearly didn't get the shrinking kid, dumb ass, and no, the blinds should be within the window casing.

If you wrap the plastic around your face you can get out of the bill entirely.

But then they drop the bill onto your next of kin's account.

If you would’ve used the expanding foam seal I suggested you could’ve operated your blinds like normal. You could probably plug up all your windows for like $20

Doesn't work as well, Californian. Cold comes in through the glass too and these sheets do a surprising amount to help that. I slept directly next to a window for years.

Well yeah. I sleep right next to a window too. At least for me, sealing up the cracks in the window jamb did a ton. Thermal transfer is going to happen regardless, and just taping plastic above the pane doesn’t seem like it’d do a hell of a lot. The temperature can even change a bunch depending on whether the side of the building you’re in gets direct sun at the end of the day.

How much are you spending on all of these attempts of insulation?

Just buy a Russian winter uniform. They're cheap, and you can wear it outside too.

No, YOU have no idea how to do it right. Blinds go INSIDE the window casing, not on the fucking wall. If he wants to be able to see outside he needs to open the blinds, plastic the window, then apply a curtain.

He's not going to be able to see shit outside with that plastic on the window regardless, no matter if the blinds are inside or outside the plastic so it really doesn't fucking matter retards. It's like trying to see something out of a totally fogged window. You can kinda make out blurred shapes and colors, but nothing definitive. It doesn't fucking matter. He's doing it to stay warm not admire the great outdoors. If he wanted to do that, he'd go outside and fucking freeze to death.

    Fucking boomers.

They used to make those kits with crystal clear plastic, and you used a hair dryer to get them sealed well. I’ve never used them, but if you do it right, you can see through them clear as a bell and the heat does not escape.
