Then up until Moses you see people start living shorter and shorter lives. Noah was 600. Moses lived to 120. It's sometimes argued that quote meant 120 years till the flood though, but lives very clearly got shorter and shorter over time. After the flood Moses wrote about humans only living till 70 or 80.
So as you can see this is just thousands of years of temper tantrum and being spiteful to humanity because he gave us free will but still punishes us when we don't do exactly as he says. Like an abusive parent.

I went to catholic school and had church every Sunday. I'm pretty well studied when it comes to Religion. I once read the bible back to front and holy shit would it put Game of Thrones to shame. And it actually has a good ending too. -
