    Clitory Clinton?

You know prohibition would only make my addiction worse, ya? It would make my basic addiction into some perverted, prohibited, taboo fetish. I would have to buy dirty product of questionable quality, endangering myself and others. Prohibition and persecution is never the answer.

At least we'd have an excuse to put rednecks like you in jail.

Why would you put a dead man in jail? You know nobody is giving up shit without a fight.

Then about 10 or so handguns, cant really remember them all because they're like little snacks, ya know?

im not fond of soviet weapons but the irony is my most reliable firearm (30 years old) is a .380 makarov that has never had a failure that was the fault of the gun. it even happily shot shit-tier steel-case ammo that other .380s wouldnt fire. that and the best PDW round is 7.62x39. the consolation is that every soviet firearm is copy-pasta from some other country.

The eastern bloc stuff is mostly for collection and cheap ammo. Ive a few crates of 5.45 and 54r stashed away from when it was cheap. I almost never shoot the ar15.

I have a makarov in 9x18, pretty snappy for the caliber. Its a little beat to shit tho.

I will get more ars once i get the jig for 80% lowers, as parts are a lot cheaper these days. Until then, there are a few unfinished akms/ p80 receivers that i need to build up.

i cant bring myself to buy anything in a x54…im not using a rimmed caliber that isnt a rimfire.

if youre going to do AR lowers, get one of the jigs that let you use a router. DO NOT USE A DRILL TO MAKE A FUCKING LOWER. i dont know who invented that idiot idea but they come out looking like shit. and dont use 6-series alloy…use 7-series. and dont base what you buy on 'cheap' because you get what you pay for. there is too much shit-tier components out there that people are building with.

i wont ever try to build a kalashnikov from a stamped lower. i know someone that has a fetish for building them and it takes forever to do and is a lot more complicated.

Yea, building an ak seems more involved than an ar, though ive never built an ar. I have all the tools/jigs for ak building, and its not so bad honestly.

The ar jig that i was looking at is indeed the one that uses a router. I don't know enough about ars at this point to know about quality differences, but my first build will probably be a psa kit to test the waters.

I saw that they were making ruger 10/22, 1911, and sig sauer 80% receivers. Those look interesting as well.

Originally posted by snoodles ive never built an AK but the guy i know that does takes days to do it. he has a giant press that he forms the sheet from then has a real commercial foundry that he heat-treats the steel several (i dont remember how many) times, then does some shit with red-hot rivets, then more heating to get the barrel/trunnion together, then more complicated shit i dont have the shop materials to make.

from what i saw of the AK build its a thousand times easier to build up an 80% AR. its just a matter of following the direction, and the biggest key is: GO SLOWLY. TAKE YOUR TIME. thats pretty much all you need to know.

if youve never milled an AR id suggest getting the cheapest polymer one you can find then practice on that one. the aluminum 7-series and 6-series are more expensive…but its still shit-tier aluminum so a hardened mill bit will eat it almost as quickly as polymer.

7 series aluminum is supposed to be more expensive, but i havent seen that in the real world. ive seen 6 series more expensive than 7…which i find odd since 7 is more involved to manufacture. 7 series is 'harder' and 'stronger' based on its heat treating. the actual alloy is pretty much the same.

6 series aluminum isnt heat treated as much as 6 and is 'softer' so the mill bits last longer.

they make all kinds of 80% lowers. glocks…1911s…AR10…AR15…AR45/10…9mm…

Your buddy is using the old method, i have the jig to bend flats; pain in the ass heat treating it afterwards. Today you can get pre bent and heat treated 80% receivers with the rails already welded. All that is needed is drilling holes for the axis pins with the help of a jig.

I did not know that ar receivers come in different types of aluminium. Will look into it when the time comes.

I don't see a problem with that, as long as you're not shooting any organisms that do not deserve it.
