You look very different from what I remember on zoklet. Unless I'm thinking someone else. In my head I'm picturing black hair and beard and lumberjack body type. Kind of like the bad guy Gaston (but with a beard). But then I am remember being showed a video of you vaping weed and you looked thinner and with glasses. Now, you look even more different. Only logical explanation is that you are one of those shapeshifting reptiles but instead of trying to take over the world you just post super long informative post on the variations of forums that sprung from totse.

So I picked up some NSI-189 on a lark and partly because I've been feeling pretty down lately, going back to socal for my dad's funeral, thought I was dealing with it pretty good but as the funeral date gets closer it's hitting me more. Anyway it has some interesting effects or maybe placebo effects, don't know, pretty different from what other people report but it came from a tested batch, fits the taste/numbing profile. I want to say it helps me focus but that's not quite right, after I take it for 2-3 hours I can read uninterrupted without feeling distracted or like I want to do something else and I can exercise longer and more vigorously although after about 2 hours I start feeling pretty tired so it's nice at night. But it's not like stimulated super-focus, it's almost more of a sedated/mildly dissociated feeling that makes me not care about the usual distractions. Outside of that couple of hours after dosing I don't feel any noticeable change in mood. Kinda weirds me out, might stop taking it because I don't really need it and you know, random internet chemicals.

It's not a random internet chemical, there's so much information about it. It's been discussed for over 3 years throughout 100+ pages: http://www.longecity.org/forum/topic/58442-nsi-189
There have already been trials and fascinating data published about it, including about the possibility that it may be able to serve as a cognitive enhancer in healthy individuals.

What dose are you taking? I'd recommend working up to the standard 40mg 2x, see if you can handle it, and stick with it for at least 3-4 weeks. Unlike other antidepressants, no serious side effects have been found. Some users commonly report an anxiogenic effect that desists after a few weeks at most. The effects can really be incredible. Its effect seem to mainly be caused, in the long-term, by hippocampal neurogenesis, actually inducing the growth of new neurons. If anything it's a powerful neurological health promoting substance.

How much have you read about it?

100 pages of a longecity thread is hardly compelling evidence in itself, I've read a few dozen out of that thread and that majority of it is really bad hodunk pseudo-science and just really bad critical thinking skills in general. That's of course not damning of NSI-189, it's just to say longecity has a lot of gullible/desperate posters who overestimate their own intelligence.

I'm taking 30mg daily, single dose, if I go up to 40 I might split it because the head pressure is kinda annoying but whenever I do morning/night dosing I forget/neglect the morning dose as often as not.

I've read the phase 1b paper and, like I said, a sample of the longecity commentary. It's true the trial looks good for neuralstem but to date it's the only human study and has a small sample size of people with clinically diagnosed depression. It also failed to demonstrate statistically significant increase in hippocampal volume which was supposedly the remarkable outcome from the animal model. Also neurogenesis does a poor job explaining the effects I experience (and those reported by a lot of other people taking it) in terms of the timeframe (effects are felt in minutes and fade in hours rather than the days to weeks we would expect to see significant neurogenesis happening in) so it's either a placebo or there's some other mechanism of action (not necessarily to the exclusion of neurogenesis though) which should be at least a minor cause for concern. I'm not saying it's on par with grabbing a bottle of pills at random and downing a handful or something but there's really only tentative evidence it's effective with diagnosed depression, which I don't have, I wouldn't even self-diagnose because the symptoms and time frames involved. I don't think I can really justify the use beyond just curiosity, which is a pretty poor reason to take it.

Thanks, that was a good response. I noticed when getting my shots ready they were slightly goopy and once time it even clogged. It's just hard to go back to just doing lines after you've tried IV use. That sux about your friend, I hate that drugs are cut, but, not much I can do about it. Also, I noticed this comedown was worse than any time I've used cocaine before in the past. Probably due to the ROA. Coke is not a shitty drug Per Say but I much prefer meth. No comparison. It's so expensive too. And for the life of me I cant understand why it IS so expensive.

Same thing with smoking GOOD crack. Lines of cocaine just don't pack the punch anymore. I haven't even drank a beer since August let alone did any other drug...when I'm off paper in two weeks I'm definitely gonna get some high quality coke and see if the magic has been restored after being 100% sober for 8 months.

I like that description. I'm actually wearing a wig for my amusement and to see what I would look like with longer straight hair (thinking about eventually using chemical hair straightener). Originally bought it and the glasses as a disguise, which I used a few times for shoplifting.

Here's the bearded picture you remembered. Testosterone, weight lifting, and minoxidil (It works for facial hair! There's a lot of information about this.) made a huge difference. After I stopped eventually it wasn't anywhere near as thick.

Eventually I'll start again, and once I get back to my previous level do a proper steroid cycle.

I just meant that there's been discussion on it, data has been followed, research found and analyzed, for years. Yeah, most of the information is junk/speculative or worthless, at least until page 50. The thing is that there hadn't been much data released on it from the company, so they didn't have much to go on, everyone was just waiting and speculating until then. Within the last year or so Neuralstem has put out some very interesting information, and it has passed phase completed trials with very good results.

IIRC there wasn't neurogenesis detected because the trials weren't of sufficient length and the equipment they used may not have had the capability to detect small enough changes. The 20% increase in rodents was over a period of a year, and physical activity, preferably strenuous/intense activity (HIIT or a good weight lifting program with heavy compound exercises), makes an enormous difference. I noticed this from experience, a considerable mood and energy boost occurring afterward, and data from rats showed that the largest amount of neurogenesis occurred during periods of highest physical activity. Being a programmer who has stated their content to be an amorphous blob and who seems to dislike physical activity, particularly the strenuous kind, I doubt you'd even try it.

It's also been found to greatly reduce cortisol levels, and this seemed to be the key factor determining whether participants responded, at least in the short term. Cortisol is hyper-secreted by about half of those with (major depression) and this has very harmful effects in the long term. Known as a "stress hormone", those with anxiety disorders and experiencing social isolation will also have elevated levels. Cortisol is also involved in energy levels and metabolism. This would explain the effect you experienced, and others have reported fatigue. I found myself waking up early in the day, often feeling sweaty, for a period when I started (may have begun to occur again recently, although it could be due to drinking alcohol), which was likely due to cortisol rebound.

I start feeling pretty tired so it's nice at night.

Two doses a day are recommended. 20mg 2x would be better for you.
  6. “Why does cocaine wear off so quickly?” put this substituted ring in place of the benzoate moiety on coke, but attached it directly, without an easily-cleaved ester bridge, and the stuff is supposed to be sixty times stronger than coke. Nobody I know’s made it. You’d probably have to start by sacrificing 100g of cocaine.

I have a project lined up to extract cocaine base from a certain brand of 'coca tea', and convert it to the hcl...and then probably rock that shit up....there's nothing in the world like a big blast of good quality rock cocaine.

Gonna get around to it early this summer, I think.

  11. Been taking a lot of buprenorphine (subutex) recently, sniffing or sublingualing 8mg tablets, and a lot of pregab cos he sells them too. I like them both cos they last so long. And sniffing mcat, got some banging stuff atm. Too many drugs. Apparently last sunday I took 70mg diazepam, 4 zopiclone tablets, a lot of vodka and cider and blacked out cos I don't remember the night, and was eating pasta off my lap cos I dropped it.

But subutex and pregabs are pretty good.

Where's Count Blah been? You still alive?

My ex bought our 16 year old daughter a used car yesterday, on a whim, a 99 cougar, with over 200,000 miles on it...probably wasted her money on a piece of shit, but I am going to try to fix it up anyway. It had no oil in it at all, hardly any transmission fluid, and the battery kept dying even after jump-starting it. So I got a new battery and some oil and an oil enhancement, and some fluids, and I am going to try to get it going this week. I could use his knowledge when I inevitably show up with a stupid question.

I only pop in from time to time. It's pretty funny, even if you don't agree with the politics, and I'm convinced a sizable minority of posters there are just satirizing the right which is my own MO on the rare occasion I post.
