2016-03-27 at 2:28 AM UTCI realized today it's been like a solid 4 months since I've done any amount of work worth a shit. Like I dusted off one of my hobby projects to take a look at it, got into the guts of it and thought "hmm, this is an interesting problem, what was I thinking when I started this?" and realized 4 months prior was the last time actually had to think about anything. Hmm, "think about anything" sounds dumb, obviously I've had to think of things between then and now but I guess it's "flow state" or whatever and it's the only time I ever do anything worth doing and I haven't gotten off my ass to do anything in literally months.
Maybe I should take my shitty almost-od is a sign that this lifestyle isn't sustainable, I need to find a job I couldn't do in my sleep and something actually challenging to do with my time. I feel like I've been bored non-stop for months. I hardly even program at work, just send endless emails vaguely related to writing tiny amount of actual code. You'd think being a code monkey would entitle a nigger to actually write some code at some point. And I could probably make up for that in my spare time, got a lot of it, but it's all too easy to burn it on whatever, video games, drugs, distractions. My mind is going to rot at this rate. I think I made a mistake not going to grad school. I remember being a student, poor and depressed but at least I was working, putting my mind to something I cared about, but at the time all I could think about was how much I hated the same shitty clam chowder meal after meal and how I didn't want to eat that same shitty chowder ever again. At the time it seemed to color everything, waking up in the morning was just the prelude to the inevitable conclusion of that same old cheap ass canned chowder, it felt like misery and poverty and awkward living arrangements made into a dish on sale for $0.99 a serving but in those 16 hours between my groggy hungover awakening and miserable dinner at least my mind was occupied in larger things than fucking how to word my response to code review #73 politely or if some stupid widget was going to work right on some esoteric combination of device and OS no one actually owns. It largely wasn't even novel work in any field, but it was challenging for me, I was getting better at it every day. I haven't actually done enough work to get better at anything besides polishing a chair and passing responsibility via email in the last year. Bleh, I'll take it back, even if I need to eat that shitty fucking chowder again I'll take it. Fucking intellectual decay in comfortable well compensated lifestyle can blow me, it's a waste of a life if I can't at least spend it on something interesting. -

I don't sweeten it until it's as sweet juice you presumptive snob. There are naturally sweet wines, all I'm doing is modulating the flavor with pure sucralose, not sugar. You two (Lanny) don't have the courage, independence, and creativity to fully shun social taboos. It's clear you're attempting to cling to a false image of high class. Sophie, you're a pedophilic nternet/chan dwelling denizen, and Lanny is Lanny; the idea of you two having the audacity to criticize someone over their taste in wine is farcical.
Yes there are natural sweet wines, so why do you insist on sweetening wines that aren't supposed to be sweet? Just buy a nice sweet wine. I don't really care about looking classy, if i did i'd behave differently wouldn't you say? That being said if i were gay would you have said: "Sophie, you're a homosexual nternet[sic]/chan dwelling denizen"? If you judge how 'classy' someone is by their apparent sexual preference or the websites they visit you're being pretty irrational.
Furthermore, your insistence on claiming independence and creativity on account of sweetening your wine is laughable.
To conclude, wine isn't a system that needs optimizing to your specifications you fucking autist.

I don't care what they're meant to be, the vast majority of wines don't taste particularly good and aren't optimal. What percentage of wines, particularly cheaper ones, are highly rated? It's about creating something better. -

so you're saying that this isn't a malice RUSE?

2016-03-27 at 3:30 AM UTCWhy would it be a ruse?
Even my water is optimized. I add the proper amount of potassium metabisulfite (found in homebrewing stores) to cold water in gallon pitcher remove the chloramine from the water, which is much more difficult to remove than standard chlorine, not evaporating from being left out overnight, and boiling times being highly variable, unreliable, and consuming excessive energy, then I place that pitcher in the refrigerator. This allows me to consume water without chloramine, neurological chloride levels possibly being excessive or dysfunctional in the brains of those with autism spectrum disorders, and also preventing any disruption of the gut microbiome. I have no idea if levels in water are significant enough to effect either of these, or whether it has any (downstream) effects past the blood brain barrier, but at least the taste might be improved, particularly with the amount I consume. This also allows me to avoid repeatedly using the tap, which my neighbors might hear (pipes could run through their area and make noise) increasing my level of hiki stealth. -
2016-03-27 at 4:52 AM UTCIve done more blow in the last month than all of the 5 years Ive lived up here and its not half bad blow either- even been given baggies, still hanging on to two small bags... wtf and all this after aheart attack.. meh, irony. Oh well, if Im gonna die atleast I should have a little fun before I kick the bucket and its not like Ive spend a single dime on any of it. This gay guy at my work keeps getting me to dobumpswith him tonight and my day shift cook always tries to hook me up whenhe covers a night shift. thought I was gonna die the other day after getting geeked, threw up, cold clammy, arm went numb and a shit load of chest pain- ate a bunch of propranolol and slept it off. tonight I actually feel pretty good and cant say Ive felt this good in a long time. Waiting on this bitch to show up with more blow or a blunt... I do have a pretty cool job if I do say so myself. Ive spent no money on all the drugs Ive been doing save for those morphines I picked up dirt cheap.

2016-03-27 at 5:23 AM UTCLanny, what do you use to open wine? I asked because I bought this on Amazon for no other reason than I wanted it, "used" and cheap: https://www.reddit.com/r/ThriftStore...t_wine_opener/
The waiter's style is fun to use, but the mechanism for this is just so cool and efficient. If you can find it for a few bucks (I remember your thrift store hobby), do it. Being a programmer, I assume you have fragile wrists and hands that will eventually be afflicted by carpal tunnel, if it hasn't already occurred, and due to being a wino the speed and efficiency only increases the benefit. -

Cheap wine isnt supposed to "taste good". For your purposes, im not sure why youd never want to drink wine. Just mix up some vodka and welches grape juice.
Im not any kind of connoisseur by any means but where I once thought wine was really sour and gross, Ive realized I was just drinking shitty wine. Its not always about appealing to your basic palate. Its about nuance. Some wines are sweet. Some are tart and acrid. Some have a bite and some are very mellow. Some taste good straight out of the bottle, and some go from being really unappealing to being enjoyable after decanting a couple hours.
Costco started stocking some really high quality wines, so I bought a little fridge and I try to keep 10 or so bottles of pretty high quality stuff around for when I bother to cook for myself anymore.
If you search around a bunch, you can find some decent wines for 8, 9 , 10 bucks. But im willing to bet youre willing to spend like $3-4, and at that price point, youre pretty much getting bum wine.

Grocery Outlet's wines aren't cheap for the typical reasons: http://goodcheapvino.com/grocery-outlet-wine-department-incredible-wine-bargains/
Their stock is also constantly changing. It's fun to try new things and hunt for a bargain.

2016-03-27 at 7:01 PM UTCSo i downed 150mcg of Hueprzine A right before going to bed last night. Got 6 and a half hours sleep, but it felt like nine. Seriously felt better than I ever have getting the same amount of sleep. I'd seriously try it if you can't seem to get good rest if all else fails your only out 15 bucks...

Just a whatever $2 butterfly style opener, it's never let me down. No wrist problems partly because I'm a decent typist and partly because I've mostly eliminated mouse use for dev work (actually rigged up a foot pedal setup for focus management, it works surprisingly well).
As for the sweetening wines thing, the majority of wines aren't supposed to have any real level of sweetness and most wines that are supposed to be sweet suck, port is probably the only major exception and most ports are shit as well. Never in my life have I had a sip of wine and been like "shit, this needs to be sweeter". -
2016-03-28 at 1:37 AM UTCWhy do people snort coke or put them on blunts like idiots and call them "chewies" instead of shooting it? Ok, putting it on weed is pretty dumb IMO and not a lot of people do that (to my knowledge) but I would say the majority of people snort cocaine. But the bioavailability is so much higher with IV use. Also, has anyone tried to make small amounts of crack with their coke stash? I was tempted but A)don't wanna ruin the shit. B)don't know if crack is worth it. C)What if crack aint that good even if I do it right and then I'm damn I wish I would have saved my coke.
EDIT: I now realize that B and C are pretty much the same thing. -

Butterfly has the advantages I listed for the rabbit. Waiter's style is the most stylish and refined, IMO. There's something about the ritual and technique that's enjoyable once you get it down, I could imagine there being a certain sensual aspect with women.
As for sweetening, I gave the wrong impression. Actually, the amount I use doesn't get them to the point where I'd say there's a distinct taste of sweetness, that goes too far and interferes with the flavor, begins to overshadow it. If anything I'd say that by reducing tartness, flavors along that cluster (bitter, tannic), it allows the true flavor of wine to emerge.

A) Because niggers, Kreepy. Because niggers- thats why A) Crack is always worth it. A) If your boo can't instruct you on how to cook crack, then tell him I said son i am disappoint. A) Making crack with small amounts isnt hard, but its difficult to separate the oils if your coke is really shitty. -

2016-03-28 at 5:59 AM UTCSerotonin definitely effects the perception of time. It's a very interesting and strong effect. I've mentioned this in the past, although it wasn't a memorable post(s), noticed levels likely plummeting based on behavioral correlations, after the shroom trip that triggered this depressive spiral about 2 years ago and caused depersonalization/derealization afterward, then a reversal when taking Zoloft.
Most recently noticed this distinct effect while watching L.A Confidential (fantastic film, highly recommended), which I just finished. Was at the halfway mark and felt considerably surprised that only an hour had passed. The entire two hour period felt much longer than it would have before.
This may only be noticeable if levels are very, abnormally, low to begin with. I don't know what the response curve will be, you'd need a good study to determine this, and there's the problem of subjectivity, accurate gauging/self reporting. If you go from normal to high, you may notice something, it would be interesting to experiment with. MDAI would be the best substance for this, but it may be difficult to source genuine product (there was data on this, most sold wasn't, at least a few years ago), it may be difficult to get due to low recreational value, low demand.
7 months ago by a reputable poster:MDAI was on the market for a while but it sucks on its own and then there was a precursor shortage so it vanished. After this people realised it was great in combinations so they've been requesting it since and now it's tentatively on the market.
The US is not a leader for RCs so they tend to get everything last and least.
That explains it. Seems it is available now (r/RCSources).
