[greentext]>drinking wine with sweetener[/greentext]
What are you 12? That's disgusting. I bet you're one of those faggots that drinks their whiskey with water too. Way to waste perfectly good booze.
How much sweetener do I use? What makes you think all wine is going to have the optimal flavor as it is? Try it yourself, you faux-elitist.That really is pretty heinous. You know you could just buy wine coolers or something, that shit is cheap as hell and sweet. Also there's a couple of problems with that article. Firstly he gives some studies that show caloric content can condition flavor preference in children and then claims it's a full account of acquired taste which is an obvious non sequitur. And it also fails to explain taste acquisition in the absence of caloric fortification like in the studies: alcoholic drinks are largely devoid of nutrition and actively toxic, their consumption poses minimal evolutionary advantage.
Alcohol is very high in calories and, more importantly, it's the pleasurable effects of the drug that lead to the acquired taste.
If you didn't know I had lightly sweetened a wine with sucralose (mere milligrams are needed) you would likely state it was the best tasting wine you had ever tried.
And I remember you making a post a while back about loving/girly drinks being a guilty pleasure of yours, that you found them much tastier than the typical drink. Faggola. -

I don't care. If you don't like the taste of wine, just don't drink it. Or if you want something sweet just get grape juice and and vodka. -

2016-03-26 at 11:40 PM UTCOk to embed videos, you go to that 'A' thing again and this time pick the ninth icon from the right. Enter the page URL (not the 'share' embed URL) into the space provided. It's almost easier than posting an image. This version of vbulletin is wierd.

Lanny lover. Get off his dick and stop making excuses for him.
He was genuinely on the verge of death. What if he had used heroin as his first opioid, like I recommended?
Honestly with H he'd probably have been better off. With H wou know pretty quickly if youve done too much. So youre able to do miniscule amounts in 10 minute increments or so to get where you want to be. Eating/drinking shit is always harder to gauge. -
2016-03-27 at 12:58 AM UTCI don't sweeten it until it's as sweet juice you presumptive snob. There are naturally sweet wines, all I'm doing is modulating the flavor with pure sucralose, not sugar. You two (Lanny) don't have the courage, independence, and creativity to fully shun social taboos. It's clear you're attempting to cling to a false image of high class. Sophie, you're a pedophilic nternet/chan dwelling denizen, and Lanny is Lanny; the idea of you two having the audacity to criticize someone over their taste in wine is farcical.
Also, Lanny, related to your opioid overdose, this information is very useful:
T-PAIN prevents respiratory depression without affecting analgesic effect of opiates
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26068549
All the more reason to use it. It's cheap and readily available, legal.
The neurobiological properties of T-PAIN (Stablon): from monoamine hypothesis to glutamatergic modulation
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2902200/
My summary of the second one: T-PAIN=good for brain, then 13 pages of references. Prevents and reverses negative changes caused by stress (anxiety counts) and depression. Describes the following effects: Increases/restores neuroplasticity, anxiolytic, cytoprotective (Cytoprotection is a process by which chemical compounds provide protection to cells against harmful agents), procognitive,
"A modification of glutamatergic mechanisms by T-PAIN may therefore be implicated in its ability to oppose the negative influence of chronic stress upon hippocampal neurogenesis, cell proliferation, and dendritic remodeling, processes profoundly disrupted in depressive states (21,44,63). The emerging pharmacological profile of T-PAIN suggests that this antidepressant may serve to ‘normalize’ synaptic function, thereby allowing the chemical signal to reinstate the optimal functioning of critical circuits necessary for normal affective functioning."
There's also this interesting info on alcohol:
"When administered acutely, T-PAIN counteracted the anxiogenic effect of benzodiazepine and alcohol withdrawal in the social interaction test"
"and antagonizes the deleterious effects of alcohol (72)."
Related to alcohol, someone mentioned this, which could be useful. A substance to sober you up faster. I've never needed it since I'm a hiki, but it's an interesting subject to research, the search for something providing genuine efficacy, as opposed to the standard marketing driven schemes designed to righteously separate the proletariat from their capital:
Actually theanine works very well.
http://www.lef.org/protocols/lifestyle-longevity/hangover-prevention/Page-02 "Research from Japan shows that theanine is a powerful antidote to the effects of alcohol. If theanine is given to mice before or after they drink alcohol, it significantly lowers blood levels of alcohol (Sadzuka 2005). It works by modulating alcohol chemistry.
Theanine accelerates the breakdown of acetaldehyde and blocks toxic radicals (Sadzuka 2005). The remarkable powers of theanine to intercept free radicals were demonstrated in the same study. It blocked radicals caused by alcohol and suppressed levels to below normal for five hours. Theanine also helps to counteract the alcohol-induced loss of glutathione (Sadzuka 2005)."
I always take 400 mg theanine after a night of heavy drinking, and it sobers me right up. If I know I'm going to be drinking, I take at least 200 mg theanine and 600 mg NAC prior, then another 200 mg before bed.
Edit: If I take theanine before, it takes more for me to feel intoxicated. -
