So I tried the poppy seed tea thing and it's certainly not wanting for potency but so far I don't like it at all. I just feel sedated as a motherfucker and a little nauseous, no discernible euphoria. I guess I took too much, half a pound sounds like the low end from what I've read (and I probably only drank half the tea it produced) but I guess with zero tolerance it's still a lot.

Smoke some Meth now but just a little.

You should probably start with a lower dose, even 1/8th a lb. to start with. I hope you didn't mildly overdose, you could have a splitting headache tomorrow and you might puke some. This is a golden age for poppy seeds, if you know where to look; they are so strong that multiple people have died recently from them.

Also, even if you did get the dose right, unless you have experience with opiates, they can often be underwhelming the first time. Some people have to try it a few times to even notice the 'high'. (I am not talking about IV use here). I suggest trying it again, but this time with the right dose, and do something semi-physical and distracting, like walking around the mall or going hiking, or fishing, or play golf or something.

Took me a few years of occasional tries to appreciate opiates. The first time it hit me I was fishing. Best fucking day of my life, from a lortab 7.5

Can confirm, they're the best after you've been properly addicted. True story.

I wouldn''t go that far. I think that they are the best during the phase when they are new and you 'get' the feeling and you aren't yet addicted, that's what gets people to start doing them every day, because they make that day 'the best day ever', and who wouldn't want to have 'the best day ever', every day?

I know what you are referring to, the relief of withdrawal symptoms with a good high is nice, but I still think the honeymoon stage of opiate use is better.

There are a few stages to opiate use, I have found:

Stage 1: Normal: They take opiates for medical reasons, or as an attempt at recreational use, and report feeling 'spacey' or 'drugged'. Nausea too.

2: Initiate: The first time that feeling kicks in, and the person decides whether or not they like that feeling or not at this point. Possibly includes closed-eye visuals when resting, or dissassociative feelings when moving around or socializing.

3: Aspirant: The person either quits for good, in which case fuck them, or else they like the drug and begin taking it recreationally. This stage can last anywhere from a month to years, it all depends on how often the person uses the opiates. Some people are called 'chippers', and they keep their use under control and use on special occasions. Others want to have a good day, every day, and begin using every day. This stage may include further pseudo-hallucinogen effects, along with feelings of stimulation or wakefullness when using. After five or six weeks or so of daily use, the person can expect to move on to the next stage:

4: New Addict: The person, for one reason or another, discontinues their use, and discovers, to their surprise, that they become quite dramatically ill, with cold chills, pouring sweats, diarrhea, and feelings of impending doom or intense cravings. If the person stays stable and uses for a long time, this stage can last for many years.

5. Junkie/Pillhead: Due to a wierd phenomenon called 'kindling', the more times a person goes through opiate (or especially benzodiazepine) withdrawal, the worse the withdrawal gets, and the sooner the period of use that triggers withdrawal...In a new addict, 6 weeks of use will get you addicted, but me, for example, I have been through withdrawal 10,000 times, and now if I get clean for a few weeks and then use a strong opiate four days in a row, i will get sick on the fifth day if I stop.

strange, I've never heard of this before. considering how hard I've binged on alcohol, benzos and phenibut in the past, this would explain a lot about why I can't drink hard anymore... I went to a christmas party last year, got suitably drunk (not to blackout or falling down levels), and on the ride home developed intense irritation, anxiety and literally could not sit still in the seat or LOL! BACK SPASMS. didn't sleep for like 8 hours after.

other times I've drank more than just a beer or two lately I've had similar but less intense issues.

Yeah, it's a thing in alcoholism.

I hate wikipedia but for brevity:

It's a thing in opioid withdrawal too, as I have unfortunately found.

I did say after, which means, when you're clean and take 'em after you've been properly addicted. Also kindling is bullshit, i've experienced actual hardcore withdrawel maybe once and never again with such intensity and believe me i've tried. Maybe it's because i switched from doing fentanyl to oxycodone. Oxy withdrawel is pussy shit compared to fent withdrawel. Switch to fent from poppy pods for the keks if you don't believe me.

Also can confirm about faster onset of withdrawel i get mild withdrawel after a week of daily use. Also, i have chronic tolerance like you wouldn't believe. I need 70mg of oxy to feel good. Around the 100 mark i'll nod.
14. Good description. Time to get a prescription. Right now I'm huffing fumes in the kitchen just to feed my addiction but I can't complain the shit I'm cooking is bitching.

The faster onset of withdrawal is, in itself, considered 'kindling'. I don't think that the severity of withdrawals is affected. Poppy pods or seed tea has some nasty withdrawals, though.

Sure, opiate withdrawel is nasty no matter your DoC, i just get the feeling short acting ones have a more intense(but shorter) withdrawel than longer acting ones. If i could pick between three weeks oxy withdrawel or one week fent withdrawel i'd probably pick oxy.

He died.

Lol, felt like it at points. Threw up like every 20 minutes for a few hours, swung between feeling like I was going to pass out and being restless, dizzy as a nigger. Damn, would have been embarrassing if I had died from stupid poppy seed tea overdose. Kinda scary because I still have like more than half the tea I made and didn't drink in case it came on too strong, had I just downed the whole thing I'd probably have passed out and choked on my own vomit or some shit. Lasted for like 12 hours too. If that's what OD feels like then those euthanasia niggas who are like "you just drift off to blissful sleep" are full of shit.

Ayy lmao. That's only what OD feels like the first two or three times. I promise the fourth time you OD you'll be dead before you know it or just wake up in an awkward position a couple hours later, if you're lucky.

Welcome to the wonderful world of opiates!

Let me personally congratulate you on taking the first step! You're following in the footsteps of many a great man. If you pass the first test you will be rewarded with euphoria beyond comprehension, take heed however. Everything comes with a price. Now go forth newling, make us proud!
