People have eaten locust for millennia. I believe John or Peter in the bible ate honey and locust. You have to cook them because they carry tapeworms. But the idea is to make meats from ground up veggies and insect ground protein.
It's just an alternative to feed the overthrowing population. Everyone loves red meat but the cattle industries required of acres to feed these things for small return.
It's just a different way of large production forms of feeding the world.

For example, look at the way the fake news leftist mainstream media has, for the past few years, been attacking airline companies relentlessly in their articles and news platforms. In article after article, you read about unfair and nightmare experiences travelers had, endless accounts of how customer got ripped off, a flood of stories about fliers who got booted off for this reason or that. It's a literal campaign of criticism and condemnation. And why? Why would they all do that, all of a sudden, just in recent years? It's because they've already been given the nod by George Soros and Co. to go ahead and start dismantling private travel. The One World globalists don't want you to be able to travel around freely and make it harder for them to keep tabs on you. Private travel will be banned. Only One World Government travel arrangements will be allowed, and if you do somehow end up on a plane, it won't be first class, it will be in a cage. Airline companies will be a thing of the past. They're already working on that as we speak.

lol the dna isn't going to fail, and if it does, that would be ionizing radiation or something similar, and the people would be dead in that case. There is no need for "chips". They are not anymore reliable than DNA editing. I'd say the DNA editing stuff is much more difficult to remove or disable since it becomes part of who you are, not just located in one part of your body. -
