You think our labor laws are good? No paid time off, maternity/paternity leave not paid, wages at below the poverty level so some 37% of Americans have to work a second job, actual overtime (as in not weekly over 36-40 but working more than 8h in a shift) doesn't even exist.
I mean we're not China, but our labor laws are significantly lacking when compared to other first world countries. It's an absolute joke. Americans work more hours than most everybody but eastern Asians.
Even in places like Norway where literally everybody who has a normal 40h a week job makes enough to live comfortably, they have unions. Some 1/5th of the nation is in one. It's important to have advocacy in the work place. And if the politicians won't do it for you, somebody has to. Everybody should be in a union. -

Do you understand that is just a step in the ultimate goal. To have all the proles producing and in return giving them a place to live (not chosen by the prole), enough food to live comfortably (again no choice), and mildly entertained by state produced media with constant indoctrination built right in.
Do you know why the DPRK is allowed to continue? Because, like NAZI Germany was it is an experiment in social control of the masses. After 70 years the people of the DPRK completely belive anything the state media tells them. They no longer need to be subjugated. They willingly serve the master as if their survival depends on it.
Capitalism is the only path that allows for true individual freedom. There can be no liberty without individual freedom. -

We only have the right to persue Happyness. it's not a given.
yet, we live times where we surpassed the planets ability to sufficiently feed us all. everyday with proper nourishment. I think we exceeded this in the 1970s when our planet hit 4-5 Billion
we're almost twice that. But of course things like Vertical farming (or whatever it's called) where we replace soil and land to produce crops we now grow things artificially in tall skyscrapers made for farming crops.
this is the future of sustainability for the population problem. I wished for your idea of freedom and owning land and nearest neighbor a quarter mile away (some want it even farther.. miles)
but this isn't the 1930s. It sucks but some kind of equality in guarantees might be needed. or do you suggest the Wild West on Crack. Just taking and claiming as yours. Strongest survive? -

Lol how are Norwegians 'proles'? Their money comes from the oil industry, which is owned by the people. Norway is one of the biggest gas and oil producers in the world. You know, instead of all that money going to individuals in charge of corporations. Imagine if America, with all of it's corporate income, decided to do that. Imagine how much the American people would profit from that. We could easily be like Norway if any part besides some measly tax on the rich selling oil and weaponry actually went to helping Americans. Since the 60's, the rich of America have been paying less and less in taxes. Now the poor pay more.
The DRPK is allowed to continue because China enjoys the buffer zone between South Korea, and they provide a lot of cheap steel and coal. They're not an 'experiment' what the fuck? And they don't believe what the media tells them lol. You've never read or watched any interviews? Basically everyone starts to understand reality once they are older. The influence of western media is strong there, despite it being illegal. They watch a lot of Korean soap operas and American movies, and they know that things are better abroad and that their government is oppressed. The idea that they're ignorant and obedient is pure fantasy built up in your own head. Sure, some of them believe. But most of them see otherwise and know their situation is shit, because they suffer every day.
I've spent a good amount of time talking to people in areas of China you probably have never heard of. The general consensus is not one of obedience and trust in their government, but of oppression and struggle. People in these places love the people and culture they have grown up with, but like anywhere in the world, they're not fond of the government. It's folly to believe otherwise. -

One question, would you rather everyone be guaranteed the same chance or that everyone be guaranteed the same outcome? It's either or not an essay. So the only answer required before I respond to your autistic rant is one and only one of the following two answers.
Answer #1: I prefer everyone be guaranteed the same chance.
Amswer #2: I prefer everyone be guaranteed the same outcome.
I await your answer. -

Stupid fucking question with no real world application.
Answer 9. -

It's more outcome but that dichromatic question doesn't leave room for things I believe in like that you should be able to work hard, get a good job or start a company, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Which is still possible under socialism btw.
Capitalists have worked hard to brainwash people like speedy into believing the free market actually benefits people.
I'm okay with high taxes tho. Doesn't stop people from getting rich, and all it does is help the poor. I'm also a big fan of socialist industries. Like I said earlier, a socialist American gun or oil industry would yield GREAT profits for the average American. -

In that case everyone has to be poor. In that case you will need men with guns to prevent human greed. In that case you will need camps to keep those in who refuse to give up what they have earned with their labor and or risk. Does that sound like a world you want to live in? -

Yep I know you'd come out with a dichromatic answer. Let's go straight to apocalyptic mao era China. Ignore first world countries where everyone is relatively happy and healthy. -

unions are no more different from gangs and traids and mobs.
there are there to keep law and order where laws are absent.
