Did existence begin or is it eternal?

Even empty space, in a vacuum, devoid of any material, is still something. It's the fabric of reality as we know it. There's no such thing, from our perspective, as nothing. And yet there was nothing there before it became something.

Spacetime isn't eternal either. We know there was a time when it wasn't where it is. Meaning there is some boundary condition it surpasses to get bigger.

Everything, and even nothing, originates and emanates from a single energy source: The Creator, an all-powerful and intelligent being of immense energy. "I Am Who I Shall Prove To Be"

You're being dumb, I didn't say the things you don't know don't matter, I was asking you if you don't know any significant difference, does it really matter? If there is no significant difference, is it meaningless to continue?

What do you think makes something matter anyway?

No I said I didn't know the difference, whether the fields were eternal or began. That's physics way above my head. There are many different models of cosmology, I couldn't properly explain even one n

Usually when it's capable of interacting electromagnetically, we call it matter.

I have thought about this bullshit before OP, especially as regards physical rules. My conclusion has always been that I didn't have a ball's notion.

Okay, I didn't ask if the physics were above your head or if you could properly explain a model. If there is no significant difference between one and the other, does it matter?

I said I don't know what the difference between them is, how much, how, why. I made a simple statement, I don't know. That's not some metaphysical claim, I just don't know. There are many different models of cosmology with wildly different claims.

Yes if two things have no difference, they are identical. I didn't make any ontic claim to that effect, I just "I don't know". Why the fuck does me saying "I (personally) don't know" even need any further discussion after I told you what I mean? What are you actually driving at you shit waste of space and oxygen? This is why you're such a stupid cunt. It's literally impossible for you to make a genuine contribution to any thread.

    It still has not begun.
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

Okay, I didn't ask if you know the difference between them, and I didn't think you were making an ontic claim to that effect, all I've asked you is if there is no difference does it matter? It's a simple question, don't know why you are making such a huge deal and avoiding it with every post, and then calling me names and claim I'm not contributing to your thread? I'm trying to carry the conversation forward, you're the one avoiding the question and not contributing to the conversation, hell, if you just don't want to talk to me you could ignore me and talk to one of the other posters who have responded to your stupid thread but here we are.

If there is no difference between two things, they are identical.

    1) I already said that.

    2) This is literally the most fundamental, basic logic. So that leads me to wonder: what reasons might you have had to ask that?

Did you genuinely not know if two things are not different, they are the same? In which case you are retarded. Was it rhetorical and meant to lead into some point? If so, you would have said it by now rather than pussybitching around just like Gadzooks, because you don't have anything but low tier sophistry.

Seriously, how have you still not gotten around to making a point?

    It's the biggest mindfuck.
How did something came from a state of nothingness, something had to create the spark that lead to the development of reality and all its mechanisms, but what created that spark?
It doesn't even do you any good to think about what nothingness is like, such as the time before your birth of when you're unconscious, the real question is .... what type of catalyst can come from absolute nothingness.
Once people figure it out somehow and you think about it will will be the biggest mindfuck of all time.

If there is no significant difference between something that began and something eternal, does it matter? This the question you keep avoiding. Why do you avoid this question? Probably because your OP is meaningless, and you didn't make this thread to discuss anything, but rather to puff yourself up by putting others down, like you did to gadzooks, like you are trying to here now to me.

I really wish you were a better person.
