   But there are two different reason why each party actually needs poor people.
   
   The democrats need poor people so they can tell them how evil rich people are making them poor and how if they vote democrat they will get some of the evil rich peoples money.
   
   Republicans need poor people so they can put them to work in their companies.

   I have a friend who basically lives off beans, rice, and beer. He used to have a roommate who would bitch at him for not bringing home groceries/food and my friend would fling open the cabinet to reveal like a year supply each of rice and beans and go "does it look like we need any food?"
   
   He's chilled out on the drinking now and has expanded his food selections a bit.
   The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

   Yeah I could live off beans and rice for quite a while if I had seasoning options and stuff to throw in there. It's extremely versatile and has everything you need really.
