§ 11.448 Abuse of office.
A person acting or purporting to act in an official capacity or taking advantage of such actual or purported capacity commits a misdemeanor if, knowing that his or her conduct is illegal, he or she:
(a) Subjects another to arrest, detention, search, seizure, mistreatment, dispossession, assessment, lien or other infringement of personal or property rights; or
(b) Denies or impedes another in the exercise or enjoyment of any right, privilege, power or immunity.
The phone call transcript clearly proves beyond any doubt that Trump is not in violation of anything under this code. -

Previously it only allowed protection for 'whistleblowers' who had/released direct evidence of wrongdoing; the change now allows for hearsay and second-hand information.
The fact that the change made this complaint explicitly possible indicates either an unlikely coincidence, the complaint being highly opportunistic or this whole thing being preplanned at a higher level. -

That claim is completely unfounded.
Fact of the matter is that the Trump administration hid these transcripts during the Mueller investigation on a private server, and open abuse of power has already been admitted and later denied by Trump himself. Remember, the Ukraine transcript is already out.

They added that the subpoena was issued because Mr Pompeo had failed to comply with demands to provide relevant documents.
They said his refusal "impairs Congress' ability to fulfil its constitutional responsibilities to protect our national security and the integrity of our democracy".
