Factcheck.org is funded by the university of Pennsylvania and Annanberg foundation which is a nonprofit and mainly an educational organization which makes shows on PBS and helps underprivileged schools. In 2010 they won an award from the society of professional journalists for being unbiased and truthful in their reporting of false claims made regarding federal healthcare.
