Oil on way up: (((someone))) just hit an Aramco Ghawar refinery with a drone

The impact on global oil markets - closed for the weekend - could be significant given the Khurais field produces about 1% of all the world's oil (estimated at over 1M bpd and reserves of over 20BN bpd) and more importantly Abqaiq, which based on the stunning local footage bore the brunt of the drone attacks, remains the most crucial of the kingdom's processing plants.
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/massive-fire-after-drone-strike-hits-worlds-largest-oil-processing-facility-saudi
Located 37 miles southwest of Aramco’s Dhahran headquarters, it controls all the flows from fields like the giant Ghawar field to coastal export terminals like Ras Tanura. Saudi Aramco describes the Buqyaq facility as "the largest crude oil stabilization plant in the world."
Ghawar is the giant field that all the world has been slurping at for the last 50 years.
The attack seems to have been carried out by drones. Perhaps launched from a jedi submarine, who knows. Yemeni Rebels have taken responsibility, but, of course, the jedis and their golems are blaming Iran for it, which is as evidence free as the 6 million.
It doesn't take much to have major effects when attacking oil facilities - they are basically just giant bombs, waiting for someone to take a match to them.

2019-09-15 at 1:10 PM UTCI don't need no fucking dirty arab oil i hope they choke on the smoke

2019-09-15 at 1:19 PM UTCSounds like some in US gubment are blaming Iran. Don’t know enough about it yet to make an opinion. Will have to read more.

2019-09-15 at 1:24 PM UTCThe only time the jedis present anything Trump and his buddies say as being something to be taken seriously is when they're blaming iran for various bizarre shit.

Originally posted by aldra Hezbullah engineers have taught them how to manufacture them themselves; they don't have to rely on Iranian imports. These drones are fairly new, the only other time they were use was in the late-August attack. In the west they're referred to as UAV-X, have a range of over 1500km and the Patriot missile systems KSA has have not been able to stop or even detect them for the most part.
It's amusingly ironic that KSA started this war to loot Yemen's energy (oil and gas) reserves and will end up pulling out under threat of their own being decimated. -
2019-09-15 at 1:36 PM UTCwhen I woke up and saw it was a drone attack I thought it was a quad copter with C4 by ISIS but then I remembered we have flying killing robots now

Don’t know how much is media when the words came right out of Pompeo’s mouth, and many others.

Like I posted in the other thread, Iran has transferred the drone (as well as several cruise missile designs) schematics and plans to Yemen through Hezbullah; they don't directly supply any components as far as I know. Yemen is able to construct them independently. It's amusing that the US, UK and pals are complaining about 'Iran interfering' when they've been selling weapons to the other side at such a scale that their economic growth literally relies on it.
The latest drones, I don't know what their actual designation is (they're not the Qassam-types that were used previously) are interesting. They have a range of over 1500km, meaning any of KSA's oil infrastructure is in range of Yemeni launch sites, and on top of the generally low-radar-profile of drones, they're specifically designed to counter traditional ECM.
The drones' targeting parameters are programmed in prior to launch; ie. pathing is done relative to the launch site so that it does not need to rely on GPS or radio/radar guidance - once launched they're locked on target and cannot be recalled. This means that jamming signals, creating interference or spoofing control commands from base are completely ineffective. -

I read recently that the only real difference between voting republican and democrat in the US is whether you want to blame all your problems on Iran or Russia
Though now that Iran and Russia have significant military and economic ties, you might not even need to choose anymore -
2019-09-15 at 3:05 PM UTCapparently they fixed it and it's back to pumping oil, albeit not at full capacity. My boner has subsided

Calling them drones sounds disingenuous, they sound more like missiles.
But how do they navigate?
Also 1500km is a long distance. -

Lol what. That is the dumbest shit I've heard all morning and could only possibly be said by someone who is not American. Nobody blames their problems on Iran or even thinks about Iran. It's just another insignificant middle east sandbox to most Americans. -

Only about 900 miles. I've hitchhiked further than that. I thought we already had weapons that could reach around the entire globe? -

But you do blame your problems on Russia, which is equally pathetic. -

Yes because they have a demonstrable effort to undermine democratic process in the west. It's not like the US government is the only one they're working against. Multiple government agencies across the globe have been outspoken about this. It's not like Russia is unique in this either. China, Europe, and the US all do the same shit. I mean it's pretty much a game that we send spies back and forth like we're trading Pokemon cards. It was only a matter of time before this game extended to the internet. -

I told them to do this. I'm glad people actually listen to me. -

Do you mean the likes of Russia Today, calling out American bullshit, hypocrisy and lies?
But I guess bullshit, hypocrisy, and lies become "democratic process" when they're your bullshit, hypocrisy, and lies, huh?
