of course we do get ourselves in very similar circumstances that seem familar and give us that feel, but as this china touches on some of nietzches philosophy in a more quantum physic kinda way saying sense everything is enegergy we get signals from the past and sometimes the future mixed into our "current present"

I'm kind of a philosopher myself, im eventually going to write a thesis on "derpadewism"

    Hubbedda hubbedda hubbedda...

    WUT?!

You just went full Bill Krozby. I don't even.

  2. Eating animals is humane. Animals give off a lot of methane and green house gases. Plants turn CO2 into oxygen.

If vegans and vegetarians claim to give so much of a fuck about the planet and the environment, they'd be eating the animals to reduce greenhouse gas levels and wouldn't eat plants so we'd have more precious oxygen and less carbon dioxide.

Every vegan and vegetarian is a fraud.

Yes, failed love was a driving force behind Nietzsche but isn't it for everyone?

I love the forest. It is bad to live in cities: there, there are too many of the lustful.
Is it not better to fall into the hands of a murderer than into the dreams of a lustful woman?
And just look at these men: their eye saith it—they know nothing better on earth than to lie with a woman.
Filth is at the bottom of their souls; and alas! if their filth hath still spirit in it!
Would that ye were perfect—at least as animals! But to animals belongeth innocence.
Do I counsel you to slay your instincts? I counsel you to innocence in your instincts.
Do I counsel you to chastity? Chastity is a virtue with some, but with many almost a vice.
These are continent, to be sure: but doggish lust looketh enviously out of all that they do.
Even into the heights of their virtue and into their cold spirit doth this creature follow them, with its discord.
And how nicely can doggish lust beg for a piece of spirit, when a piece of flesh is denied it!
Ye love tragedies and all that breaketh the heart? But I am distrustful of your doggish lust.
Ye have too cruel eyes, and ye look wantonly towards the sufferers. Hath not your lust just disguised itself and taken the name of fellow-suffering?
And also this parable give I unto you: Not a few who meant to cast out their devil, went thereby into the swine themselves.
To whom chastity is difficult, it is to be dissuaded: lest it become the road to hell—to filth and lust of soul.
Do I speak of filthy things? That is not the worst thing for me to do.
Not when the truth is filthy, but when it is shallow, doth the discerning one go unwillingly into its waters.
Verily, there are chaste ones from their very nature; they are gentler of heart, and laugh better and oftener than you.
They laugh also at chastity, and ask: "What is chastity?
Is chastity not folly? But the folly came unto us, and not we unto it.
We offered that guest harbour and heart: now it dwelleth with us- let it stay as long as it will!"—

    Thus spake Zarathustra."

Let's discuss this. I'm not disagreeing with you about Freddy but I'm not an incel and I don't reduce the author to a single one of his flaws. I couldn't read a single book then.

  4. Bill Krozby is such a great example for that chapter. I will use him as an example to point out a couple of things.

    Yea....

Me too. I did it once when I was 17. I was never hungry after the first couple weeks so I forgot to eat and lost a lot of weight

Had to leave the parents' house after unfortunate events and due to work schedule changing from 8 hour days to 10 or 12 hour days, i found it much easier to just eat leftovers from whatever the people I moved in with had for dinner

Most methane producing animals only exist because there's demand for them. While farm animals are certainly killed in great number by commercial meat production it has not depopulated those species but inflated the number living today.

Sure, a serious treatment of Nietzsche would consist of a lot more than calling his love life wanting. I think there are some valid direct criticisms of Nietzsche, but I wasn't seriously advancing the fact that he wasn't a lady killer as one of them. Actually I think his work was important and insightful, I rarely find myself really convinced by the man himself but he was very influential to many existentialists I do find interesting. That said it's pretty hard to deny his popularity among certain demographics to the point that a given self-proclaimed champion of his work found in the wild is more likely to have wildly misunderstood it in every relevant dimension than not.

Good post even though I was looking forward to an arguement. I'm not a nut-hugger, both Nietzsche and Schopenhauer got all kinds of things wrong. I just prefer them over other thinkers of their times.

    Who are your guys, Lanny?
  14. No Greeks allowed.

Perhaps but plants have feelings. They can feel pain, communicate with other plants and feed cut down tree stumps sugar solutions through their roots to keep them alive. Plants are just as sentient as animals.

And all those fags going on about Koreans eating dogs and cats just because we keep them as pets. To Indians cows are sacred but they don't make a fuss about that.

Not to mention that most fruit and vegetable production is harvested and processed by under paid, overworked immigrants but vegans and vegetarians don't give a fuck about the conditions they live in.

But as long vegans/vegetarians get to take the moral high ground and preach, what does it matter, right?
  16. Liked for the love for plants. It's the truth.
  17. Doesn't stop me smoking them tho
  18. Yea, I have killed for food and I have harvested for smoke. It feels the same to me.

I'd love to be able to have livestock and guarantee it perfect living conditions.
  19. It would be nice, a few chickens and lambs and cows. They should have decent lives as far as can be provided, until they get turned into food. This is just the bonus of being top of the food chain tho. And they're undeniably tasty.

In fact I think I'm guna go fry up some sausages and make a bap
